“THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC & IT’S A WRAP”

The Draperstown Busking Festival committee has decided to draw a line under 10 very successful years of the annual event.
There have been many musicians who have graced our streets at the event and have gone to much bigger stages.
Ballinascreen Credit Union were a constant supporter of the event from day one as the idea came from their community fun day which they originally ran. Workspace, Mid Ulster Council and the local traders all ensured that the event would continue and all their support was greatly appreciated.
Thanks also to the musicians, judges and local craft stall holders who participated and contributed so enthusiastically.
A special thanks to all the committee members who gave up their time over the years to ensure a successful event.
Its been a blast, yours in music.

---------------------CANCELLATION 2021----------------------------
We are sorry to say at this crazy difficult time for all and due to the advance planning required with uncertainy around proposed government guidelines and possible social distancing required it will not be possible to go ahead with the 2021 event.
The festival in no way wants to compromise the well being of our local community and visitors.
We will be back in August 2022.
Thank you all for your continued support.

On behalf of the organising committee of the Draperstown Busking Festival it is with great regret that we have decided to cancel the 2020 event planned for August bank holiday.
The health and safety of our community and visitors is the number one priority right now.

We have discussed the issues with all our suppliers and everyone is still extremely motivated to make next year's event better than ever.

Thanks to everyone for your support over the years and we look forward to welcoming you to the 2021 festival.

What a superb day of buskers, sunshine and great company. Thank you all once again for you support on the day (and weekend).
Our food festival on Sat 24th went really well and congrats to all the food outlets who did a great job.

Our Busking places are as follows.

Thanks to all our main sponsors Ballinasscreen Credit Union, Mid- Ulster Council and Workspace.
We have a tremendous community of people recognised by the local business in their support which they gave in many ways, whether for cash support or supplying confectionery, water etc so as the kids could enjoy for free.
Thanks to all our volunteers on the day from stewards to the people covering some of the kids rides. All amazing people making positive things happen in our community.
To Caitriona Groogan who opened the day with her fabulous dance troupe.
The Samba band at Glasgowbury who did our interval.
To our judges who are all very respected in the music world we thank you: Keith Millar, James Bradley and Lucy Bell. Shelby also who did sound at each busk section. To the fab Rusty Jack's who closed the day.
