Congratulations to Ryan and every one of you who took part in the Belfast City Marathon at the weekend. So now that’s out of the way, it’s time to get ready for the next big running event - the Glasswater 5km Run this Friday at 7pm.

You’ve conquered the 26.2 miles, so come on and join us though the beautiful trails of Tobar Mhuire. A gentle run to get you moving again!

Refreshments available to purchase in the school grounds from Bells Hill Tearoom and an ice-cream van.

The event is organised by Glasswater PS PTA and Atlas running.

Glasswater 5km Run this Friday! - Sign up

Lace up your running shoes for an evening of fitness, fun and community spirit at Glasswater Primary Crossgar Family Fun Run! Organised in association with ATLAS Running, this event promises an enjoyable experience for participants of all ages and abilities.

Funds raised from the Family Fun Run will directly benefit the Glasswater Primary School library, enabling the purchase of new books, educational materials, technology upgrades, and other resources to enrich the learning experience for students.

The evening will kick off at Glasswater Primary School, Crossgar at 5:30pm. Participants can choose between a 1km run/walk and a 5km run/walk. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or just looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll with family and friends, there's something for everyone at the Family Fun Run.

"We're thrilled to host the Family Fun Run as a way to promote health and wellness within our community while also raising funds to support our beloved school library," said Mr Milligan, Principal. "The library plays a crucial role in fostering a love for reading and learning among our pupils, and the proceeds from this event will go directly towards enhancing its resources and facilities."

Registration for the Family Fun Run is open. Participants can register online before Wednesday at www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=13381 or in person on the evening.
