🎉 HAPPY LOCAL RADIO DAY! 📻

Did you know Mole Valley is home to a community radio station?

Surrey Hills Community Radio is busy giving people of all ages and backgrounds the chance to share their voice and get creative behind the mic. With a recent King's Award for Voluntary Service and a fully booked work experience programme, the station is growing further with the addition of their newest recruits over the next couple of months.

If you haven’t discovered them yet, now is the perfect day to check them out online broadcasting from Leatherhead.

Sending a big Local Radio Day cheer to the whole team!

WELCOME BACK JACK PEPPER AS OUR FESTIVAL PATRON!

Jack has written music for the Royal Opera House, Classic FM’s 25th Birthday and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He is currently presenting weekend afternoons on Magic Radio’s Magic Classical and in 2025 was announced as one of His Majesty The King’s ‘35 Under 35’, highlighting makers and change makers in The King’s Foundation’s 35th anniversary year.

PLUS HE IS FROM MOLE VALLEY! We cannot wait to work with him on this year's festival activities. Thank you Jack for being a brilliant and engaged Patron 🎶

We have had a fabulous week! We hope you have too!

We opened registrations for this year's Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival just seven days ago and have received some great applications 🎭🎨📕🎶📸

⭐ Here are the first three to register this year:

Welcome back to Surrey Philharmonic Orchestra! They will be hosting a Come & Play Open Rehearsal at the wonderful St Giles' & St George's Ashtead ⛪🎻

We have the return of children's theatre to the Leatherhead Community Hub, this time with a mischievous musical bringing to life Beatrix Potter as you've never experienced her before 🐭 (thanks to Farnham Maltings & More to Mole Valley)

⭐AND NEW FOR 2026!⭐
We are super pleased to welcome the Westcott Music Mingle. A new community group bringing music to their special village. A mix of oboe, piano and strings performed by the Dorking Chamber Orchestra set in The Church in Westcott - Holy Trinity and St John's ⛪🎻

We are thankful for our festival favourites returning to the programme, and so excited to bring new events to you this year!
