Those of you who came to the Polesden Lacey ride, especially the 32k and 40k might be interested in this… the story of the Lovelace bridges you found yourself going under in the middle of the woods… and the sawmill you had to walk through. Polesden Lacey Ride always an adventure!

A total of 10 bridges stand in East Horsley as a reminder of the village's Victorian past.

A fantastic third running of Polesden Lacey following successful editions in 2023, 2025 and now 2026 👏

Set across the rolling North Downs, the technical course once again proved a brilliant early-season test, with riders tackling steep climbs, varied terrain and plenty of elevation as part of this increasingly popular fixture in the Endurance GB calendar.

Fresh off the back of a successful weekend at Shuckburgh, Janice Cockley-Adams continued her strong run of form by taking the win in the 62km GER with Emillano.

The 42km GER went to consummate professionals Katie Dickinson and 20-year-old Elayla, who are now edging ever closer to the remarkable 5,000km lifetime achievement milestone — currently sitting on 4,989km in competition.

In the 42km Novice GER, the win went to Brownbread Seagull, registered with the Highland Pony Society and ridden by Annette Monument.

The 32km GER was won by Graham Duffill riding Anglo-Arab Bonnie Crusader, now in his 10th endurance season, while the 32km Novice GER went to Alexandra Embiricos aboard Thoroughbred Cru Bourgeois.

A special mention too for Lisa Peterkin and Thoroughbred Molly, completing their very first Foundation GER together in the 20km class and taking the win! 🐴

Huge thanks to organisers to husband and wife team, Harry & Alice Ingram, and Cathy Dickerson, alongside all the South East group volunteers and helpers who made the event possible.

Huge congratulations to this pair for conquering Polesden Lacey! An accidental detour turned a 41km ride into a 50km trek, but Sam didn't miss a beat, looking like a million dollars at the finish.
If they can handle the North Downs with "bonus miles" to spare, they are more than ready for The Golden Horseshoe at the end of the month. Onward to Exmoor! 🏔️✨

Julian Johansen rides in a Setzi Balente saddle, stirrup straps and Burioni CL18 pad and stirrups.

Polesden Lacey is not easy. Everyone that got home today with a happy and sound horse should be incredibly proud. Out of 75 entries we only had one lameness elimination. 🥂🎉 Endurance GB ❤️ thank you for coming to our ride ❤️

It’s over and out from us!
Thanks first and foremost to all our riders. Polesden Lacey isn’t the easiest ride, it isn’t the flattest or the fastest, but it’s a true test of endurance!
It takes a small army to mark and run the ride. A big thanks to all our volunteers, Raynet, TS and vets. The horse’s came first though - just one lameness.
Well done everyone!
