🔔 Minelab 500 – August Weekender Update 🔔

We’ve had a few more questions come in about the August Weekender, so here are some helpful reminders:

🚴‍♂️ Electric Bikes
Electric bikes are allowed on the fields, but please do not use them in the main arena.

🐶 Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but they must be kept on a lead at all times.

🔥 Fire Pits & BBQs
These are allowed, but they must be kept off the ground and all safety precautions must be followed.

⏰ Arrival Times
You can arrive from Thursday 13 August anytime after 15:00.
Gates stay open until 22:00.
If you plan to arrive after this time, please let us know ASAP at [email protected].

⛏️ Day Detecting (No Camping)
If you're just detecting and not camping, you can check in and leave the site between 07:00 and 22:00.

📢 Minelab 500 – Event Questions & Answers (Q&A)
📅 When can I arrive?

Arrival is allowed from Thursday 13 August 2026 from 15:00.
This is a setup and social day only — NO detecting is allowed on this day.

It’s a chance to:

Set up camp

Catch up with friends

Enjoy freshly baked pizza

Grab a cold pint of local cider

You are welcome to stay on site until Monday 17 August 2026, but all attendees must leave before 12:00 noon.

🧭 Where is the event located?

The nearest city is Yeovil, Somerset.

⛏️ Detecting Times

Thursday 13 August 2026 – Arrival from 15:00 (No detecting)

Friday 14 August 2026 – Detecting 09:00 – 18:00

Saturday 15 August 2026 – Detecting 09:00 – 18:00

Sunday 16 August 2026 – Detecting 09:00 – 16:00

💧 Will water be available on site?

Yes, water will be available on site, however it will be marked as non-drinkable.

Please make sure you bring plenty of drinking water with you.

🚻 Are toilets available?

Yes, portable toilets will be available on site.

They will be cleaned and emptied daily, but please help keep them clean and tidy for everyone. Leave them as you would like to find them.

🚿 Will there be showers?

Yes, there will be a block of showers available on site for attendees.

🍔 What facilities will be on site?

Food Van (Cash & Card accepted)

Bar – Alcohol available

Family Friendly Environment

⚠️ Note: There is NO electricity available on site.

🚗 Arrival & Vehicle Rules

Please do not block access roads when arriving.

Vehicle movement around the site during the day is not allowed, except when leaving.

⛏️ Detecting Conduct

To protect the land and ensure the event can continue in future years:

Fill all holes properly

Use headphones

Respect the land and farmland at all times

🔥 BBQ Rules

BBQs are allowed but must be raised off the ground to protect the grass.

🐕 Are dogs allowed?

Yes, dogs are welcome, but they must be:

On a lead at all times (24/7)

Well behaved

Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.

Please help keep the site clean:

Minimise packaging

Use the provided bins

Respect the environment
