The July edition of the 2026 DonFaster 5K series will go on sale at 10am on Monday 6th April (Easter Monday).

A reminder that this is our 10th event and that we will be rewarding whoever breaks the course records with an additional prize.

DonFaster 5K March race and YVAA 5K Championship race

A huge ‘thank you’ to everyone that ran, volunteered, spectated and sponsored last night’s DonFaster 5k race. It was a pleasure to welcome you all.

There were incredible performances from all runners, whether smashing the course record or PB, or running your 1st DonFaster.
It was great to host the YVAA 5K Championship race for the second year.

Below are a few photos of some of the winners and age category winners from last night.

Our next DonFaster is on Friday 3rd July when we’ll be celebrating our 10th event. In recognition of this milestone, we’ll be awarding a special prize for the male and female who break the course record. And there will be a commemorative gift for all runners who complete the race. More information on this to follow in the coming weeks so watch this space!!

We look forward to welcome you to the July DonFaster 5k, whether it’s your first race with us or you’re a returning competitor.

Good evening everyone. The transfer window for March race entries will open at 9am, Monday 16th March (tomorrow as at time of writing) through to Monday 23rd March 9am.

Those of you who need to sell/offload your ticket can find those who are looking to buy/acquire one here.

Please make sure you select "All Comments" when looking at the messages - I think sometimes people aren't seeing each other's posts when "Most Relevant" (the default) is selected.

The burden is on you to check who you're buying from/selling to, so please be cautious when exchanging details.

Those who are selling will need to click the link in their registration / reminder email and follow the instructions to transfer once on that page. You'll basically need the recipient's email address, who in turn will accept the invitation to transfer.

An email to entrants r.e. transfers has now gone out, please check your spam if you aren't seeing it.

2026 DonFaster Sponsor Announcement

We are delighted to announce that for the 2nd year, EXPERT MORTGAGE ADVICE (Paul Huby - Mortgage Advice Bureau) has agreed to sponsor the 2026 DonFaster 5K race series.

EXPERT MORTGAGE ADVICE sponsorship allows Danum Harriers Running Club the opportunity to reinvest in the future of the DonFaster 5K event, making it the ‘sell out’ event it has become!

The EXPERT MORTGAGE ADVICE logo will take pride of place on each runner’s bib number. Paul will be attending each race and awarding prizes to our race winners.

Club Chair, Lynn Hutchinson had this to say about the sponsorship deal:

"We’re really pleased that Paul Huby of Expert Mortgage Advice is once again supporting our race series. It will help us to grow the event in 2026”

We asked Paul about why sponsoring DonFaster is important to him:

“I've been a member of Danum Harriers for over 6 years and I’m really proud to support this amazing, local club. 2025 DonFaster 5K race series

As the dust finally settles on the 2025 DonFaster 5K race series we’d like to say ‘thank you’.

• Thank you to all the runners who ran in our March, July or October races - whether you did one, two or all three races.

• Thank you to our team of volunteers who gave their valuable time to make each race go smoothly, keeping our runners safe from the start line, on the course, and to the finish line, in all weather conditions.

• Thank you to all the spectators who came to cheer on family and friends.

• Thank you to our 2025 Race Series Sponsor – Paul Huby, Expert Mortgage Advice.

• Thank you to the Race Committee, who work continuously throughout the year, planning, preparing and delivering each race.
The plans are in place for the 2026 race series, with the races, taking place on:

• Friday 27th March
• Friday 3rd July
• Friday 2nd October
