KEEPER CAMP PLAYER TO KEEPER CAMP COACH

This week at our Keeper Camp, Coach Ben who regularly supports lead coaches at our camps, stepped up and lead his own sessions!

We’re very proud that Ben was one of the very first goalkeepers to attend our first ever Keeper Camp, a fair few years ago (See pictures). ‘Foz’ is now passing on his knowledge and experience to the next generation of Keepers coming through.

As well as Ben, Coach Fin has also been a regular coach for us in recent years and has followed a similar pathway of being coached by us from a young age. These two young goalkeeper coaches are perfect examples of our aim with our coaching. To keep boys and girls who love goalkeeping playing and involved in football from junior and youth level all the way through to senior level. Never forget the reason you started playing- because you enjoy it!

Ben has also recently started his own coaching with DTYFC Soccer School where he is leading sessions for U5/U6 players making their first steps in the game!

A big thank you to our army of coaches who have worked tirelessly in the heat this week. All the coaches are part of the Procision Oxford Football Academy.

Alongside full time and senior staff a number of our college students and degree students have coached this week, including future students on work experience too! Showing that not only do Procision Oxford Academy have pathways from junior football to youth and senior football. They also have coaching pathways too!

☀️ Keeper Camp & Striker School☀️

This weeks Striker School and Keeper Camps are going to be scorchers!

Please make sure your Goalkeeper/Striker has a sun hat, sun cream and a water bottle.

Coaches will be encouraging players to wear hats, drink regularly and re apply sun cream at break times.

On Tuesday at Didcot & Carterton we’ve made a slight change to the format of the day. Champions League & FA cup Tournaments will still be played but in the morning. With the afternoons being slower paced, chilled team games. We will also be having more regular breaks from the sun inside and in the shade.

Half Term is set to be a great week of sunshine & football! The only thing better than football in the sun is football in the sun with your mates. So bring a mate along or come and make friends at our Keeper Camp or Striker School!
