Just look at what’s landed on our counter at Café BLANC...

Our Lemon Bakewell Cake is an absolute beauty. Soft lemony sponge, gorgeous creamy layers and all that Bakewell goodness on top.

Then we have our Raspberry and White Chocolate Brownies. Rich, chocolatey, seriously indulgent and topped with white chocolate and raspberry.

We may have done a little taste testing ourselves and can confirm they really are as good as they look!

All that’s left to do is choose your favourite, grab a seat and pair it with a drink brewed just the way you like it.

Sometimes coffee and cake is all you need.

How is it the 1st September already?!

A brand new month, the start of a new season and another month of doing what we love here at Café BLANC.

As summer starts to make way for those slightly cooler mornings, we’re definitely entering proper coffee weather… although, let's be fair, every weather is coffee weather.

Whether you're heading back to work, getting the kids ready for a new school year, returning to college or uni, or simply popping into town, our doors are open and there’s always a warm welcome waiting.

When you’re looking for a fabulous cortado in Derby city centre and you’ve got plenty of coffee shops to choose from… where do you go? 👀☕️

We had a rather familiar face pop in yesterday while he was in Derby playing for Durham against Derbyshire…

🏏 The one and only 𝘽𝙀𝙉 𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙆𝙀𝙎!

Absolutely lovely to welcome him into Café BLANC and, of course, we made sure that cortado hit the spot.

We might still be one of Derby’s newer independents, but moments like this make us incredibly proud of what we’re building right here on St James Street.

We are so proud to share and support Take Aim, who will soon be opening their doors and becoming one of our new neighbours! 🎯

Behind every new independent business are real people taking a huge leap of faith, and having met the wonderful couple behind Take Aim, we know just how much passion, hard work and excitement is going into bringing their vision to life.

Like us, they're starting their journey in a part of Derby city centre that's up-and-coming, full of potential, but still needs our support. And this is exactly what we love to see, new independents investing in our city, bringing something different to the area and giving people even more reasons to come into Derby.

We are absolutely bursting with pride to finally share this…

Café BLANC is officially a finalist for 𝘽𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝘾𝘼𝙁É in the 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 & 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! 🎉☕️

Out of more than 5,000 nominations across this year’s awards, we have made it all the way to the final THREE cafés, and we honestly couldn’t be prouder.

For a little independent coffee shop that only opened its doors this year, this means so much.
