Oram Awards Celebrating innovation in sound and elevating the work & voices of Women & Gender Diverse artists

We did so by resting, walking in the countryside and enjoying the company of precious women in our lives.

Continuing the work we do year-round celebrating women and gender diverse artists in sound, we’ve asked to hear from some of our Oram Awards community over the coming weeks, to big-up themselves and artists who have inspired them, past and present.

Here’s some thoughts and recommends from .nohome

Daphne Oram was born on 31st December 1925.

Today marks what would have been her official Centenary.

But, in true Daphne style, we do things differently here at the Oram Awards and have been celebrating throughout 2025 and will continue into 2026 on beyond.

More news to come, but we can confirm the return of the open call in 2026 !!!

Happy New Year x

Every stop on the tour introduces us to new communities and the opportunity to work with grassroots venues across the UK and the incredible teams behind them.

We are blown away by how these venues genuinely support their communities. From their commitment to hosting a diverse programme of events, exceptional sound & lighting to providing co-working & studios for creatives, with always a focus on communal spaces and kitchens - promoting healthier minds and bodies for everyone who walks through the door.

These venues need OUR support.
