What a weekend... and what an incredible way to launch the very first Salute to the Forces.
To everyone who came along, supported the event, volunteered, exhibited, performed, traded, sponsored, displayed vehicles or worked behind the scenes – thank you. You all helped create something truly special.
Over the weekend, families, friends and supporters came together to enjoy living history, incredible displays, military and classic vehicles, tank and jeep rides, music, dancing, Comic Con, family entertainment and so much more. Most importantly, people came together with a shared appreciation for our history, our heritage and one another.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible team of volunteers. From months of planning beforehand to the early starts, late finishes and everything in between, you gave your time, energy and enthusiasm without hesitation. Whether you were marshalling, parking cars, setting up, clearing down, answering questions, helping visitors or quietly keeping everything running behind the scenes, you were the heartbeat of this event. Your dedication and commitment did not go unnoticed, and Salute to the Forces simply would not have happened without you.
We'd also like to give a special shout-out to the cadets, who were a real credit to themselves and their organisations. Their professionalism, willingness to help and positive attitude throughout the weekend were outstanding, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they did.
Our sincere thanks also go to Betteshanger Park, Bars 4 Events our charities, sponsors and all of our partners who supported the event. Your belief in what we were trying to achieve and your support throughout the journey helped make the very first Salute to the Forces a reality.
This was the very first Salute to the Forces, and while no first event is ever perfect, we're incredibly proud of what we achieved together. We'll take everything we've learned and all of your valuable feedback into planning Salute to the Forces 2027, with the aim of making it even bigger and better.
Until then, thank you for your kindness, your encouragement and for helping create such a welcoming atmosphere throughout the weekend.
