Heylo heylo

Our last-release full festival passes are selling alot faster than in previous years, if you are accustomed to leaving the decision to the last moment it will likely not be possible this year, as capacity remains very limited, so we implore you to jump on board now!

We have so much exciting stuff to share with you - everything is cooking up beautifully.

Another big highlight last year was - gracing the Chaiangles Stage, Saturday 30th August. It was a magic set, opening with a pounding initiation before gradually weaving all into their idiosyncratic, experimental post-punk corpus. That makes it sound very lofty - it's actually mainly catchy and energetic and fun .

Their album 'Information Blip' was a heater/repeater in the lead up to the festival last year, partly discovered through putting together the playlist for 2025. Our 2026 playlists can be found in our bio - there's so much awesome stuff there to discover too! Check it out!

All remaining ticket types are selling fast for this years soiree - so don't wait to get yours sorted!

Just NB we are *solde oute* of Saturday Early Bird day tickets, and the remaining Saturday tickets are moving very fast. Just a handful of Friday Early Bird tickets left now too.

Also, this year the bank holiday is on the Monday after the festival, so we expect Sunday to be busy and buzzy, aka don't wait around if you want to join us then too. We have an array of special surprises for the Sunday this year so it's an *excellent* day to join in the fun.

Heylo all,

Applications to run workshops at Smugglers 2026 are now open! The Craft, Wellbeing and Children’s Area’s are where you can relax, learn a new skill, be creative, have thoughtful discussions and - crucially of course - play! Over the years this area has become a really beautiful part of our festival, and we are always looking for folks to run inspiring workshops here.

This year we are particularly interested to hear from traditional and land based/ regenerative crafts people, artists/makers using recycled materials, workshops around climate and ecology, grief and sustainability.

Another moment of unusual intrigue and beauty at Smugglers last year was a play put together for Nomads' Land, by our friend Professor Appleblossom.

(You may have seen him taking questions of a festival morning in Nomads' Land previously. He would expound on things like number theory, physics, engineering, cosmology, windows-of-the-mind, and the almost ecological ways these things intersect. It was always an iconic sight - an enraptured gaggle of tired and inspired festivallers sat cross-legged before the blackboard. Questions could get brilliantly far out, but there was/is always uncanny clarity to the Profs answers)

The play was essentially an account of the Prof's experiences while employed as a researcher into AI safety, told through a cast of distinct poetic voices he coaxed from earlier, less filtered versions of large language models. It's impossible to explain all the profound, funny, frightening and fascinating layers of meaning it contained - but suffice to say it was SO COOL to experience something like that at the festival.

It concluded with an interesting moment of choice - will you enter the Portal To The Symbiocene?

Lots of day tickets sold since the daysplits dropped this week, and just a handful of general release camping tickets left, so don't wait!

..though our most enthusiastic encouragement is for you to join us for the whole weekend, we also want to massively shout out all of our day-trippers and non-campers. We respect your reserve, and appreciate the fresh energy you bring to the forest & field each new day.
