For those that were mid 90s clubbers you may remember this guy..Ricky deane who co-hosted the house of dance with Steve White on Alpha 103.2 every Saturday evening.. Ricky would do a gig guide on who was playing where around the country as well as some of the clubs in Darlington.

This clip surfaced last week and is from JULY 1996..you may recognise a few families names on there!

Sadly Ricky passed away in 2010.

Who remembers the cheap bottles of Chateau Mardi we used to give away if it was your birthday? Some people had a birthday every week if I remember!

It was so cheap and nasty you could put it on your chips the following day!which pic best describes the taste??

On September 27th we head back to the wonderful Majestic Theatre for the 1st time in 6 years for one more time with 2 rooms and the original Mardi Gras DJs from.the class of 1999!

The Auditorium...become the star of the show where the stage is the dance floor complete with theatrical lighting rig and club sound system with front room Mardi Gras style club classics..

Room 2..the Orleans suite...big party tunes and 1 big party..if it was played in Orleans it'll be played here..anything goes!

Fully licensed bar with the Majestic team at the helm!

Back in the day on a Saturday night we all had different starting points on our trip across town and under the subway to Mardis..

The most popular pub to club may have been Humphreys-Eccentric Inventor-Yates-Routes..

Where else did people visit for a quick drink before going clubbing?

Who thinks we should do a mini pub to club crawl on Saturday 27th September?

Start in town a little earlier and visit a couple of the old places before heading to majestic theatre for 8pm for a complimentary on the house glass of chateau mardi prosecco/vinegar then a drink at the Majestic bar before we get underway?
