IMPORTANT NEWS - GoldCoast Oceanfest Announces Fallow Year in 2026
After a careful and considered review over the past few months, we have decided that the festival will take a fallow year in 2026.
It has become clear that Oceanfest needs to take a break in 2026. There are just too many uncertainties beyond our control affecting our ability to deliver to the standards we set ourselves and that you, our loyal supporters, expect of us.
After 28 years of nurturing, this decision has not been taken lightly and we remain committed to ensuring the event continues to thrive for years to come. Plans are already being made for a strong return in June 2027, when Oceanfest will once again bring together the community, music, sport, and beach lifestyle that define the festival.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank both the National Trust and the new owners of Ruda, John Fowler Holidays, for their support and constructive engagement throughout our decision-making process as we look ahead to Oceanfest’s future.
We are grateful for the continued support and understanding of fans, partners, and the wider community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Croyde in 2027.
