“There’s too much competition at your supersize events!”
A reseller said that to me recently.
But is there??
Our supersize events attract more buyers than any other nearly new sale in the UK, with attendance often three times higher than a regular event. These photos are all from our Nantwich event, the biggest event we run, and they show just how little some sellers took home at the end of the day!
Want results like these?
Price your items realistically and present them well.
Try not to base your prices on what you’ve seen online. Remember, that’s usually the asking price, not the sold price. Resellers are also pricing to make a profit, not to clear out their homes. They don’t mind taking an item to several events or waiting a few weeks if it means making more money.
Our buyers are looking for bargains, and most don’t tend to haggle, so keep that in mind when pricing. Some will negotiate, but in my experience, the majority simply buy what’s fairly priced.
Presentation matters too. If you’ve got a lot to sell, consider booking extra space. Most people, especially those shopping with babies and toddlers in tow, don’t want to dig through piles of clothes and toys to find the good stuff.
The sellers who go home with the most money in their pockets are the ones who make it easiest for buyers to bag a bargain! 🩷
