When their Moody 44, Canopus, suffered a rigging failure during the ARC+ rally, Vicky had to bridge the gap between "professional skipper" and "mother."

Around 38 hours after leaving Bermuda, the ARC Europe fleet is starting to see the breeze fill in after a calm spell at sea. Across the fleet, crews are beginning to hoist their beautiful coloured sails, bringing bright splashes of colour to the Atlantic horizon.

We’ll continue to watch their progress as they make their way eastward across the Atlantic.

ARC Europe 2026 - Departing through Bermuda’s iconic “Cut” and out into the Atlantic from the shelter of St. George’s Harbour, crews waved goodbye to the beautiful island after a memorable stopover.

As you can see from the pictures, spirits were high as the fleet headed back to sea - excited for the next chapter of the rally and the dramatic scenery that awaits them in the Azores.

The ARC Europe fleet has officially departed Bermuda on Leg 2 of their west-to-east Atlantic crossing!

After an incredible stay on the island, crews set sail from the beautiful turquoise waters of St. George’s Harbour, passing through the famous “Cut” in fantastic spirits and looking ahead to the next stage of the adventure.

With very light winds forecast for the first couple of days, a few boats have chosen to remain in Bermuda a little longer and plan to depart once the breeze fills in over the coming days.

A huge thank you to Bermuda for such a warm welcome, and especially to St. George’s Dinghy & Sports Club for everything they did to support the fleet during our stay.

We now look forward to welcoming the fleet into Horta, with arrivals expected around 29 May. Fair winds to all crews!

The ARC Europe 2026 fleet has arrived in Bermuda! 🌊⛵️

Last night the crews celebrated in true island style with a lively Pirates Night and a fantastic rum tasting. A big thank you to Goslings Rum for sponsoring the evening and keeping spirits high!

We’re sure the turquoise waters of Bermuda will look even more spectacular this morning after all that rum…
