Most people walk past Drapers’ Hall and have no idea this room is inside. 🎬

The Kitchen. A Regency-era space with original period architecture, charming historic detail and a character that no modern studio or meeting room can replicate.

It has been used as a film and photography location, a workshop space, a creative studio and a meeting room for teams who want something genuinely different. The bones of the building are 1832. The possibilities are anything you can imagine.

Father’s Day is closer than you think, and spaces at our Afternoon Tea are already going. 🍰

On Sunday 21st June we are opening our doors for a very special Father’s Day Afternoon Tea at Drapers’ Hall. A beautiful spread of finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream, Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle and macarons, served with a full tea and coffee selection in one of Coventry’s most stunning rooms.

Because Dad deserves more than a card.

Earlier this month, we took care of something that has been part of this building since 1832. 🏛️

Our historic ceiling the Greek key frieze, the hand-carved plasterwork rosettes, the original decorative medallions received some much needed attention from skilled craftsmen who treated every detail with the care it deserves.

For a Grade II listed building nearly 200 years old, preservation is not optional. It is a responsibility. And one we take seriously.

The scaffolding is down. The rooms are ready. And the ceiling looks exactly as it should, as it has done since the day Drapers’ Hall first opened its doors on 8th November 1832.

Some things are simply worth preserving. 🤍

Coventry has always been a city that endures, rebuilds, and celebrates. And for nearly 200 years, Drapers’ Hall has been right here — at the heart of it. 🏙️

From the Drapers’ Guild who first built it in 1832, to the Women’s Voluntary Service who used the ballroom as their headquarters during the Second World War. From its years as a music venue, to the £5m restoration that brought it back to life.

This building is Coventry’s story in stone.

Today we’re proud to be part of the Cathedral Quarter — neighbours to the Cathedral, St Mary’s Guildhall, and the Herbert — and to welcome a new chapter of celebrations, gatherings and memories within these walls.
