and there it was, gone. Another Cottingham SpringFest done and dusted.
I just want to extend my thanks, gratitude and admiration to all the wonderful stage curators/organisers and their hard working teams who we couldn't be with out. Your dedication to the festival has been incredible.
I also need to thank all venues and the staff for ensuring we were welcomed, looked after and safe. I know it's your job but it is a challeging weekend especially working in such heat.
Even more praise, thanks, gratitude and admiration goes to Karen smiles McClure. In the past 4 years you have been there by my side, every step of the way, trying to make sure I'm not taking on too much. Thank you soo much.
To all the musicians: every last one of you are amazing. It's a pleasure to make sure you have a platform to show people your passion and ability. We have such a diverse and talented music commmunity that needs to be appreciated and supported, weekends like this prove it is needed and deserved.
Special thanks goes to Chris Broadwell for his superb work on the courtyard stage, building the stage, for the sound and his general calm management. You made my life so much easier, thank you and the same extends to Dan Kelsey for managing the sound at King William IV. I am lucky to have you both as part of the team.
Finally, I would like to say how wonderful our audiences were, creating lovely vibes and showing love to us for putting the festival on.
Sorry if I have forgotten anyone.
Right, I will leave you with another of my favourite performances of the weekend, Big Distance's debut gig. Enjoy and see you next year.
