Just a quick reminder that our Annual General Meeting takes place on Monday 16 February at Conwy Comrades Club.

We will start as soon after 19:00 as possible once we have a quorum!

Once the AGM business is out of the way we will have our normal singers night.

See you then!

Notice is hereby given for the Annual General Meeting of Conwy Folk Club to be held on Monday 16th February 2026 at 19:00 at Conwy Comrades Club, 8 Church St, Conwy, LL32 8AF.

Any resolutions to be put to the AGM must be received by the secretary ([email protected]) no less than 21 days before the AGM i.e. by Monday 26th January 2026.

At the AGM, it would be great to see some more members willing to step forward and help out with the ongoing running of the club! The more people who get involved, the lighter the load on each person…

If you are not able to attend the AGM in person, you can submit a proxy vote form to nominate the Chair or another Club member (who must be at the AGM to vote on your behalf). You can download a proxy vote form from our website at https://www.conwyfolkclub.org.uk/

Please note that our constitution limits proxy votes to 25% of in-person votes (e.g. 12 in-person votes + 3 proxy votes) which may mean that we are unable to use all proxy votes. Proxy votes will be logged in order of arrival and applied (or not) accordingly.

It's not often that you get a chance to see an artist who has had nearly a million views on YouTube but Joe Topping’s audition for The Voice in 2021 has had 970,000 views!

Joe is our final guest artist of 2025 on Monday 24 November (doors open 20:30).

Described by Sir Tom Jones as "a Weaver of Dreams", Joe Topping is a folk singer and multi instrumentalist from Liverpool whose singing and guitar playing regularly moves listeners to tears.

His charismatic stage presence and engaging stories have entertained audiences all over the country and all across Europe, including live sessions on BBC Radio 2, ITV television, The National Film Awards and a showcase at SXSW in Texas.

Joe has played on stage and in the studio with many legends of the British folk scene including members of Fairport Convention, Andy Irvine and toured as stand in lead vocalist in the BBC2 award winning "Best live Act" Home Service.

He was a member of the legendary Ashley Hutching’s Rainbow Chasers. He was also guitarist for British Country Music Hall of Fame inductee, Charlie Landsborough’s touring band and is a member of festival favourites Elbow Jane.

Just 4 weeks until our final Guest Night of 2025!
We have had 6 fantastic Guest Nights so far this year with Jaywalkers, Tacla, Danny Bradley, Bakerfield, Reg Meuross and Wet The Tea.
Our final one should be yet another great night with Joe Topping!

His charismatic stage presence and engaging stories have entertained audiences all over the country and all across Europe, including live sessions on BBC Radio 2, ITV television, The National Film Awards and a showcase at SXSW in Texas.
During the Covid pandemic, Joe was asked to enter ITV’s The Voice and, seeing it as fun challenge to do while the rest of the music industry was shut down, decided to give it a go. Joe reached the semifinals and his audition alone has reached nearly 1 million views on YouTube!.
