Wow, another award for Ian for his epic work setting up and running the No Tier Snooker groups at the Everybody Awards event last night hosted by legendary olympic swimmer Mark Foster. Shortlisted but sadly didn't win the Community Initiative Award, we sat there knowing you can't win everything. The shock came when he won the main and final award of the night, the Chairman's Award. Well done Ian and thanks to Cath Carter George Harper, Chris Green and Denise Parr for supporting and of course the members of the club's. Exciting expansion plans to come in 2027 too!

Thanks to Mark Bear Grills No Tier Snooker has been chosen as one of the groups that will benefit from a share of any money raised over the target costs which is on the 17th December (Legends Christmas Dinner). There are limited spaces left to book and would be great if the No Tier Snooker family can really get behind this very generous gesture.

**CHRISTMAS CHEER UPDATES**

Just want to keep you all updated on our Christmas Cheer events.and be as transparent as possible.

Each event will comprise a three course dinner, crackers, entertainment and a gift for each person that attends.

We are aiming to provide these for FREE with the help and support of Congleton people and businesses.

We have raised so far:
Cash donations £50
Justgiving £55 (search previous posts for the link as Facebook won't allow more than one link post per month)

We have pledges of support from Morrisons Congleton for drinks and have been contacted by a number of local businesses who are interested in funding one or two sittings.

The events will cost around £10pp in food and £10pp in a gift (subject to funding)

In total we estimate we need to raise £300 per event and there are 4 events and if we want to ensure every person attending received a gift then another £300 per event.

That brings our total to around £2400 for the 4 events.

We have posters in-store with QR code to our justgiving page and we also accept cash donations too.

If you want to help deliver these events then we would be delighted to hear from you too, but we really need to crack on with funding these events as best we can.

WHAT A PRIZE – AND WHAT A DAY!

Back in June, at our No Tier Snooker Black Ball event with Steve Davies and Dennis Taylor , one lucky auction winner secured a fantastic prize kindly donated by Betfred — the opportunity to attend the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.

And judging by this short video… they had an absolutely brilliant time!

It’s fantastic to see one of our auction prizes being enjoyed, and we’d like to say another huge THANK YOU to Betfred and WPBSA Head snooker Coach Chris Lovell for their generosity and support of No Tier Snooker.

Donations like this help make our fundraising events possible and, most importantly, help us continue supporting people living with younger-onset dementia and FTD, together with their families and carers. Have a watch

🎄❤️ **Christmas Cheer – Supporting a Fantastic Local Cause** ❤️🎄

Ian and Diane recently visited us at Bear Grills to discuss what No Tier Snooker do for our community here in Congleton. Following that meeting last Saturday, we’re delighted to reveal that we have officially agreed to partner with No Tier Snooker for our Christmas Cheer events this year.

Any excess funds raised will be donated to this fantastic organisation, which supports adults living with early-onset dementia through sporting activities, helping people stay active, connected and involved in their community.

We’re incredibly proud to support such a brilliant local cause and to know that our Christmas Cheer fundraising can continue to make a difference beyond the festive season.

We’re delighted to announce that No Tier Snooker will be partnering with the Beartown Backyard Ultra, coming to Astbury Mere in May 2027.

This is going to be one serious challenge!

Runners will complete a 4.167-mile loop every hour, on the hour, and simply keep going until there is only one person left standing.

But for us, the really special part is what this event will achieve away from the running.

Entry fees will help cover the costs of putting the event on, with profits being shared between three fantastic causes – No Tier Snooker, Bowel Cancer UK and Astbury Mere.

It’s brilliant to see a new event being created here in our community that brings people together, gives athletes a challenge to remember and, at the same time, raises money for causes that make a real difference.

Entries are planned to open in November, but you don’t have to be an ultra runner to get involved!

The team are also looking for volunteers and sponsors who would like to be part of the journey.
