What a lovely surprise from one of my students!
He recently went to see a Japanese drumming performance in London and kindly sent me this postcard afterwards — and he even wrote the card in Japanese! I was so happy to hear how much he enjoyed it.

The group is called YAMATO The Drummers of Japan, and they perform all around the world. They look amazing!

Join us for a special Japanese Cultural Event at Congleton Museum on Sunday 31st May from 2:30–4:30pm!

Interested in sending messages in Japanese? It’s actually quite simple. First, type the word in hiragana, and then select the kanji that matches the meaning from the suggestions that appear.

We had a wonderful Japanese New Year’s party with my local students 🎍
