Hi all, now the dust has settled from Sunday's Stort30 I wanted to shout out a quick thank you to my team on the day.

Without this small team of Volunteers these events would nut happen at all. We are lucky to have such a dedicated team.

If you want to volunteer at any of our events just go to the website Volunteering page and fill the form in. You earn points towards entry for any of our races for every hour you volunteer.
We keep the points active for 3 years so you can save them up for our bigger events.

Also if you are a club member and your club wants to come and help at an event we will give any volunteers you send the same points but also give the club some free places to share and you can make a CP your own and promote your club. Just email our Volunteer manager Lisa on the volunteer contact form.

Entries are open for next year and 2028 and the final results are on our results page.

The unspoken rules. We all know they're there. We all get quietly (or not so quietly) furious when they're broken. But do we explain them? Of course not. They should know. That's the whole point of an unspoken rule.

We thought it was time to document them for future generations, and for a few people who really should know better.

Dave Phillips has become the last man standing at yard 90 of the World Team Championship, with Matt Blackburn providing the assist. Both Dave and Sam Mayhew earned their places on the British team after outstanding performances at Suffolk Backyard Ultra earlier this year.

At the time of writing, runners are still going, with the USA on course to take the overall win. France could still catch the UK to take fifth place, if their two remaining runners hit yard 126. The world record is currently 119.

Both Dave and Sam qualified through their performances at Suffolk, and we will be back at Suffolk and Thetford for more backyard running. If you fancy giving the format a go, sign up now!

Good luck to Dave Phillips and Sam Mayhew at the World Team Championships today. Both secured their qualifying distance at the Suffolk Backyard Ultra and now take their place representing the UK.

Best wishes to the rest of the team, and good luck to Eric and the Rasselbock team who are putting on the event at Sherwood Pines.

We'll be following along and cheering all the way.
