This year’s festival features three two-day choral courses, each culminating in a public performance. Join us for one, two, or all three, either residential or non-residential. Between the choral concerts, enjoy a vibrant programme of recitals and cabaret — free for course participants.

✨ Course 1 | 16–17 August – “The Sum of Many"
Sing towering masterpieces including Tallis’ Spem in Alium, Allegri’s Miserere and Brahms’ Geistliches Lied.
Plus: the much-loved Clamenzia von Trunksale returns on the 16th with Melinda Hughes and pianist Jeremy Limb — hilariously unmissable.

✨ Course 2 | 18–19 August
We’re joined by national treasure Roderick Williams for Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, alongside Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens, Chris Manu’s Silentium and Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer with soprano Jennifer Clarke.
The course culminates in Fauré’s Requiem, sung together with Jennifer and Roderick.
On the 18th, Roderick and pianist Susie Allen give a special recital based around Schubert’s Die schöne Müllerin.

✨ Course 3 | 19–20 August
A full performance of Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle with international soloists Penglei Liang, Alison Kettlewell, Roberto Ortiz and Simon Thorpe.
On the 19th, enjoy a beautiful evening of songs, arias and duets from Penglei Liang and Roberto Ortiz.

The festival is led by Jeff Stewart, Jonathan Hope (Gloucester Cathedral), Piers Maxim (Malvern Priory) and Ben Saul (Guildhall School of Music & Drama).

Last year’s response was extraordinary — we can’t wait to welcome you back to Malvern in 2026. 🎵
