2026 marks a fundraising record-breaker for Goodwoof! 🧡

Today, on International Day of Charity, we’re thrilled to announce a record-breaking fundraising total following this year’s event, with £43,520.49 raised in support of Battersea 🐶🐱💙.

Alongside an impressive £21,080 raised through the Barkitecture presented by Cazenove Capital auction, donations came through ticket bookings on goodwood.com, direct contributions from visitors on the day, generous gifts from Goodwoof partners, and proceeds from our wonderful friends at The Connaught’s fabulous hound patisseries.

Thank you to everyone who donated, bid, bought, visited and supported Battersea across the weekend, helping to make this year’s fundraising result such an outstanding success!

Goodwood has always been filled with woofing and the sound of pattering paws. For over 300 years, dogs have been very much part of the family...

From beloved Sussex Spaniels who travelled to Rome with the 3rd Duke of Richmond to foxhounds with their own grand kennels, the Estate has a long history of four-legged companions.

Among them, Guh and Meh, two Pekingese given to the Duchess of Richmond in 1860, which incredibly, were two of the first Pekingese dogs ever brought to England!

Today, Goodwood’s longstanding affection for four-legged friends continues, with dog-friendly stays, cafes and restaurants, walks across the Estate, and of course, our grand celebration of all things dog: Goodwoof 🧡

Whether it’s a big gesture, a small daily ritual they look forward to, or simply preparing their food precisely the way they like it, the Goodwoof community proves that no gesture is too grand (or too specific 🍉) for our canine companions!
