A joyous celebration of community choral singing is once again at the heart of this year’s Festival of Chichester.
John Gleadall is once again masterminding proceedings for Singing in The Bishop’s Garden on June 14 from 14:00-16:00, bringing together no fewer than eight choirs and nearly double the number of singers that took part last year.
Joining the celebration this year are The Birdham Songbirds, Get Vocal, Chichester Community Choir, The Musical Theatre Choir, Get Singing, The Igloo Choir, Bellacapella and The OK Chorale – around 200 singers in all.

The High Sheriff of West Sussex praised the voluntary spirit of the Festival of Chichester at the 2026 brochure launch. "What makes this festival so special is that it is entirely voluntary,” he said. “The joy of the Festival of Chichester is not only that it is organised voluntarily; all of you represent voluntary groups and organisations who come together for this glorious month.”

The Festival of Chichester runs from 13 June, and tickets for the five weeks of events are available now (search the link bio)
