'Skate, Scoot and Bike' event attracts hundreds of children to Chichester skatepark.

Families from across the district came together at Chichester skatepark last weekend for a fun and inspiring event celebrating skateboarding, scooting and BMX riding. Organised by Chichester District Council and supported by More Leisure, the ‘Skate, Scoot & Bike’ event celebrated the local skatepark with a range of free activities and displays from leading experts and local talent.

Our Housing Matters Roadshow will be attending the UKHarvest Food Hub on Tuesday 15 September in Jubilee Hall, Oving, from 10am to 11am.

Make sure to come along and speak to our team if you have any questions about the housing matters that are important to you, including:

🎶Blending traditional Scottish music with dub, electronica and driving bass lines, band An Dannsa Dub perform for WemsFest at Westbourne Community Hall on Friday 11 September.

🌈It's your last chance to visit The Novium Museum's Elmer and Friends: The Colourful World of David McKee exhibition! Discover the magical world of the late author and illustrator through original artwork, interactive displays and multi-sensory experiences that bring his beloved characters to life.

🛹🛴🚲Today’s the day! Chichester Skate, Scoot & Bike event takes place at Chichester Skatepark (behind Westgate Leisure Centre) between 11am to 4pm.

👉 To avoid disappointment, please remember to bring a helmet for all those wanting to have a go in the main skatepark — anyone trying out the BMX, Skateboarding or Scooting in the adjoining car park can borrow equipment from the coaches in the designated areas.

There will be demos, stunts, coaching, and entertainment such as a pop-up spray studio, climbing wall, face painting & more! Plus music, food stalls & community stands.

Come try out skating, scooting or biking and celebrate our amazing local skatepark with us!

Don’t miss our free Skate, Scoot and Bike event TOMORROW! (Sunday 6 September)

📍Chichester Skatepark, behind Westgate Leisure Centre
📅 Sunday 6 September
🕚 11am-4pm

Following the fantastic turnout at last year's event, we'll be introducing 20-minute skatepark sessions throughout the day so that everyone has the opportunity to take part and enjoy the facilities.

Be sure to collect a coloured wristband when you arrive.

You'll be assigned session times throughout the day, with each wristband colour receiving multiple opportunities to use the skatepark between 11am and 4pm, as well as plenty of time to enjoy our expert demonstrations.

👉A quick reminder that helmets must be worn by everyone using the skatepark and taking part in activities.

Enjoy an action-packed day featuring live BMX and roller sports demonstrations, interactive activities, food, music and much more!

People in Midhurst will be able to enjoy some big screen magic thanks to a free event taking place later this month in the town’s Market Square.

‘Midhurst Music and Movies on the Square’ will take place on Saturday 26 September, bringing two iconic films alongside local musicians and music-themed activities to the town.

The event, which is organised by Chichester District Council, will take place from 12pm, when visitors can enjoy live performances from talented local musicians and bands playing Latin-inspired sounds, before enjoying screenings of ‘Coco’ at 2pm and ‘La La Land’ at 7pm.

Joining us for our FREE Skate, Scoot & Bike event this Sunday (6 September)?

ℹ️ Please remember to bring a helmet if you'd like to use the main skatepark. To avoid disappointment, anyone wanting to skate, scoot or bike in the skatepark will need one.

If you're taking part in the BMX, skateboarding or scooting activities in the adjoining car park, equipment can be borrowed from the coaches in the designated activity areas.

The event will take place from 11am–4pm, behind Westgate Leisure Centre in Chichester! There will be:

✨ Demos from top talent including local rollerblader Jamie Stenner
🚴‍♂️ BMX stunts by Fusion Extreme
🛴 Scooter coaching with record-breaker Terry Price
🎨 Pop-up spray studio, climbing wall, Nerf ‘Battle Zone’ & more
🎶 Music, food stalls and trade stands

Whether you're a beginner or already confident on wheels, come along and give it a go!

🚶‍♀️🚲 Please walk, skate, scoot, or cycle to the event if you can and join in.
