Good Morning everyone! It's been a goodly while since we've posted an update so time to catch-up I think. As we move towards April it marks the end of our first year of merger with Sound of Music Ltd - and what a year it's been! Our portfolio of clients and events has continued to grow across the group whilst supporting our existing long-term friends and colleagues within the industry.
Please take the opportunity to head over to their page to see what other events we have all been involved in!

The year has seen us expand our commitment to the dance-music genre with full production for the Tidy Weekender, Gods Kitchen swan-song and Creamfields VIP areas. We have also provided technical support for Xstatic Music Festival for our friends at On-Events Ltd and Indietracks for the good folk at Xcite Audio Services Ltd; as well as full-production for our colleagues at Loaded Productions for Gammafest 2016.

Our relationship with the delightful Chatsworth House continues to grow and 2016 saw us supporting the fantastic Art Out Loud Festival for the second year, the sold-out Fireworks displays, The Derbyshire Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot as well as day to day audio-visual support.

Sheffield International Documentary Festival and Sensoria Media and Arts Festival, both in Sheffield, continue to grow annually and it's a pleasure for us to support both of these events and their wide-range of events across the city. In addition, we once again provided full production to the internationally-recognised ROAR Shakespeare Festival - always an extraordinary showcase for local schools in South Yorkshire. And a special one-off gig by the mighty Everly Pregnant Brothers was one of the high-lights of the year!

It's been a busy year of awards, with us supporting both the Chesterfield Food and Drink Awards and Retail Awards, as well working closely with Chesterfield College on their annual Fashion Show Graduation and Awards. Voluntary Action Rotherham, The Stray FM Local Hero Awards, Barnsley College Awards and the return of The BRCC Business Awards to Magna saw us in action with clients old and new.

Onwards and upwards as we head into the new year with an ever-expanding diary of events and exciting projects!

Good Morning all! A nice sunny day ahead after a pretty manic weekend as the year's events pick-up the pace!

First off, a full week of staff seminars at the beautiful Chatsworth House as they get ready for the new season - full AV support in the splendid period theatre on-site.
..and then full-tilt into the week-end, with our second i-do Wedding Fayre of the year at Doncaster Racecourse: another sell-out with Transmitta providing full cat-walk show production and stand power and lighting. As ever, a treat to work with the wonderful i-do team on these events!

Friday saw us heading to Victoria Warehouse in Manchester to begin the build for Cosmosis Festival 2016 for the splendid Events Company (UK) Ltd. Four trucks, four vans, 4,000 festival-goers across five rooms of PA, Rigging, Staging, Lighting and AV for 13 hours of pyschedelic / space rock! A brilliant festival with some great bands (especially good to catch-up with the boys from Baba Naga!) and a wonderful atmosphere. Many thanks to Richard and the team at Cosmosis for letting us loose on it!

As ever, these things don't happen without the dedication, commitment and energy of a great team of people - so huge thanks as always to Sam, Adam (above and beyond as ever!) , Liam, Chris, Pete, Ian, Luke, Alan, Alex, Olly, Dougal, George, Andy, Martin, James, Russel, Richard, Giorgio... and a whole load more - if I've forgotten you I apologise!

This week sees our merger with Sound of Music Ltd continue as we pool more and more resources to tackle an ever-growing diary of shows together - onwards!

Breaking news! After many years of close co-operation on shows and events, Sound of Music Ltd and Transmitta Ltd have decided to merge!
As both companies have continued to expand their client bases and portfolios, it became the next logical step to join forces, bringing together both skills and hire-stock under one roof.
Over the next few months, the continued growth will be centred around Sound of Music Ltd’s base in Derby, with increased levels of staging, rigging, lighting, video and presentation systems available to all our clients, as well as the usual excellent service and commitment both companies deliver.
Looking forward to exciting times ahead!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Just finished collecting the last few bits of hire and a quick tidy-up from last couple of shows - Barnsley College Annual shin-dig and a helping-hand for the good folk at Warp records.

Another amazing year of incredible shows - new clients, old clients, new friends, old friends... again, without a very, very dedicated group of people none of this would have happened - so a massive thank you to the usual suspects, who year on year make this work:

Adam Musyka
Liam Anderson
Chris Harding
Ryan Dewick
Mat Waltho
..and the way-too numerous freelancers who join the ship at regular intervals - but special mentions for Chris Thornton-Smith, Luke Watley, Sam Williams, Pete Davies, Dick Platt...
...and as usual, our colleagues in the business who keep things moving, flashing, bangin' and hanging.... Wicked Trucking, On AV, Sound of Music, Up North Stage Crew, AT Comms, Ian Livie, PDS...
..and finally our top-notch clients - Sam Newsom, the PLT team, Barnsley College, Chesterfield College, Mat Steel, BR Chamber of Commerce, Docfest, Sensoria, Open Minds, RSES Children's Festival, Chatsworth House, Abbeydale Picture House, We Are Fstval, V-Festival, Indietracks etc etc etc!

Right, that's it - we're off!

Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Okay, another couple of weeks have flown by with the events stacking-up once more, with the added bonus of lots of local work!

We've been in residence at the the wonderful Chatsworth House again, providing conference AV facilities for continued staff development as well as spending a week providing the decor lighting for this years themed Christmas house tours of Wind in the Willows. In addition, this year's fireworks extravaganza saw us providing full out-door stage, PA, power distribution and lighting for the move towards a more programmed show of music and circus performances to compliment the whizzes and bangs!

A few days later and we provided full line-array PA for our friends at Beefstock for the Chesterfield Peak FM Firework show... and to complete the local picture, we once again provided full production to Chesterfield College as they hosted the third annual (sold-out) Food and Drink Awards for Destination Chesterfield.

In other news, we were out with our the team from The Event Company UK at Liverpool's Asylum for the all-night show on Halloween, where we provided staging, rigging and lighting - another unusual and challenging space turned into an amazing venue for the night by Sam and his crew!
..and this weekend saw us once again supporting the Sheffield Tattoo Show with lighting, power distribution, rigging, band and house PA systems as well as video and stage lighting... another cracking show!

Oh, and the usual "we need a load of kit in London in 12 hours" phone call on Saturday night as well... sorted...!

Happy Days!

Hello Monday! Back to emptying vehicles after another run of epic events before we start again....

We have been back at the wonderful Chatsworth House, this time screening a documentary on the history of Faberge for the Sellors Jewellery group - fascinating stuff!

Next-up was a trip to Donington and the THS Tools exhibition - bigger and better than previous years and in a great new venue for the show, followed by an evening celebration of 40 years of trading. Looking forward to next year already!

The weekend saw-us stacking up the shows - PA systems for Braehead Arena and Brixton for our good friends The Event Company UK Ltd, hire and trucking for our colleagues at Waltho Sound and Light and a real treat - providing PA, lighting and video control for Claudio Simonetti's Goblin live re-scoring of Dario Argento's Profondo Rosso for the Celluloid Dreams Horror Film Festival in Sheffield. Amazing!

However, we can't let the BRCC Business Awards 2015 pass with-out comment. On Friday night we once again provided full production for this event - along with the Presidents Ball, something we have done for many, many years, working with subsequent presidents and Chamber staff to grow both events from humble beginnings to the sold-out affairs they have become. The last thing we expected was for the lovely Clare Frisby to go-off-script and announce a special Salute to Business Award - for Transmitta Ltd!

I'm not used to standing on on a stage after the show starts, so I really don't know what the photographs will look like! All I can say is a huge, huge thank you to the enormous number of people over the years who have contributed to our continued growth and success, and to the Chamber for being there with us along the way!

So yesterday we emptied the trucks and vans and de-prepped after an incredible week with the Sensoria Festival in Sheffield. Many of you may have read my personal post on the subject, so forgive me if this covers the same ground again for a wider community...

After DJ Yoda's wonderful start to the Festival, we found ourselves at Sheffield City Hall with the mighty Asian Dub Foundation's live scoring of La Haine (a harrowing enough film in its own right, ADF's menacing rumble only increasing the darkness) - amazing night.

On Thursday we moved across town and set-up camp at the truly splendid Abbeydale Picture House for three nights of eclectic and mesmerising music. Paddy Considine in conversation with Tim Burgess, and then his band's set, on Thursday night was followed by Lone Lady and the pounding modular analog sounds of Factory Floor on Friday. Saturday saw local behemoths Baba Naga followed by the sonic whirlwind that is Bo Ningen... Awesome doesn't come close... an extraordinary week of shows by an extraordinary range of musicians and performers.

Thanks are due to the wonderful Sensoria team - Jo, Nigel and Mat - for letting us be an integral part of these events, to Phil and his team @ Abbeydale Picture House for such a wonderful venue, to Chris and the tech team at City Hall for all their help, but most of all to the Transmitta crew - Adam, Chris, Liam and Ryan - who took these events and made them thunder and sparkle in equal measure. If ever we forget why we do this, I think these kind of events remind us...

End of another busy weekend for the Transmitta team...

Friday night saw the opening of Sensoria Festival with a show from DJ Yoda with his History of Hip-Hop DJ / Video mash-up performance - if you've never seen it, grab the chance - fascinating, hypnotic and hugely entertaining! It was a real pleasure to provide full production and help make the night a great success.

Saturday saw us in Birmingham at The Institute providing full production once again, this time for The Tidy Boys last-ever DJ show... An emotional night for the sold-out crowd - shenanigans a-plenty, special guests and more than a few tears as the boys hung-up their headphones for the last time. Personally, we cut our production teeth on some of their earlier shows and we've been on this journey with them, in the back-ground, for many years, so a great night for us too....

Sunday saw us back at The Peace Gardens in Sheffield with our outdoor stage providing full production for the live bands and winners announcements for The Great Yorkshire Run. The weather was delightful, so another great day for the runners, families and charities involved.
..and all this on the back of the postponement of Nick Romero's show at Victoria Warehouse in Manchester and a few other cancelled, moved, postponed bits and pieces - so would have been even busier!!!!

A massive thanks as always to the team who made all this happen - Adam, Chris, Ryan, Liam, Sam, Ian, Up North Stage Crew, and Wicked Trucking.

Onto this week - Sensoria Festival gets into full-swing with Asian Dub Foundation, Tim Burgess, Paddy Considine, Lone Lady, Bo Ningen and many more...

Infest Festival, Bradford 2015
PA Support for Fake Festivals 2015 Big Party
i-do Wedding Fayre, Ice Sheffield 2015
Art Out Loud at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire 2015

As usual, an eclectic and varied mix of clients all helping to provide us with exciting challenges. Great to see our regular friends (i-do Wedding Fayres, Infest, V-Festival) busy as ever, and also great to be working on new projects for us such as Indietracks Festival.

This last weekend was an absolute treat, providing full production for the first Art Out Loud Festival at Chatsworth House Derbyshire. Always a lovely client to work for in beautiful surroundings, but this was something special with some incredible talks and discussions from (and about) some truly extraordinary artists, culminating with a sold-out performance from Grayson Perry.

Onwards - Sensoria Festival in Sheffield is around the corner, but first we delve straight back into the DJ and dance arena with Nicky Romero, DJ Yoda and the Tidy Boys last ever show this weekend - oh, and the Great Yorkshire Run as well!
