Bike Chester is a cycling sportive open to the public with routes of 25, 50 and 80 miles - great routes, great feed stations and great fun.

We are returning to Chester Rugby Club for 2026 and there will be a choice of three new routes, approximately 25, 50 and 75 miles long, starting at the rugby club and exploring the local countryside. Organised by Iconic Cycling Events who also run Bike Bath and Bike Oxford.

Clatterbridge Cancer Charity has been selected as this year's official charity partner.

1 in 2 people are affected by cancer and 13,000 new patients are referred to Clatterbridge Cancer Centres each year from across the whole of Cheshire and Merseyside. With your help, we can continue to support the incredible work of The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

For riders wanting to support the charity, we have a limited number of Bike Chester Clatterbridge Charity tickets available for just £20.

If you select one of these when you register, you pledge to raise a minimum of £100. This might feel like a big target, but we’re confident you can achieve it.

New partner for 2026: Russell & Russell Solicitors

The traditions and values, which first established Russell & Russell as an early pioneer of legal services continues to serve us well today. We still provide friendly, professional advice in the manner a traditional high street law firm would, but this is now blended with a 21st Century approach.

The practice has grown organically to incorporate nine offices stretching across the North West; three in Bolton and one in Atherton, Bury, Farnworth, Horwich, Middleton and of course Chester. We have had a City Centre presence in Chester since 1990!

At Russell and Russell, we feel there is more to life than work. For us, it is important to recognise there has to be a healthy work/life balance, with exercise and wellbeing at the forefront of that and we have a number of avid cyclists in our team.

The Early Bird period is so important to us. It sets the tone for the year. It's an early indicator, that gives us confidence in what is to come, which is so important when we invest time and money into our events (not just buying medals).
We hope that early bookers will be our word of mouth, advertisers and influencers. That registrations will breed registrations as those individuals who have committed and booked early will champion the events to their peers and encourage them to sign up.
