Get ready for a spectacular weekend of nostalgia as the Chester-le-Street Steam & Vintage Fair returns to the stunning grounds of the Lambton Estate! Celebrating its landmark 70th anniversary since the very first rally in 1956, this year's event on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June 2026 promises to be an action-packed celebration of mechanical heritage.

It’s a perfect family day out where you can hear the roar and smell the coal of massive, powerful steam traction engines, alongside a massive showcase of classic cars, vintage motorbikes, stationary engines, historic military vehicles, andtractors. Packed with nostalgic fairground rides and dramatic historic re-enactments, there is something to capture everyone’s imagination.

Gates open from 10am to 5pm each day, with day tickets available on the gate or in advance, and kids under 5 getting in absolutely free!!

Passes Passes Passes!! 📩 📨

Here we have the first batch of Public camping passes being sent out.

All exhibitor passes have now been distributed to our section heads who are making a start getting them posted to everyone.

Please be patient all our team have full time jobs to go to go to so passes will be organised in their spare time and not all passes are sent out at the same time!

All entries are closed, no exceptions, however we still have public camping available, email us at [email protected] or send us a message to get booked up.

A DAY IN THE OFFICE!

A message to anyone who has sent an application form in for public camping!

Royal Mail have messed up our PO Box which public camping is sent to and we haven't had any PO BOX mail for 3 weeks.

All public camping applications must now be sent to [email protected] or send us a message on Facebook.

Anyone who has sent an application by post in the last 3 weeks please contact us and we will confirm if we have your form.

We are currently working out way through messages and emails now.

Passes for ALL SECTIONS will be distributed in the next few weeks.

A few gateway improvements this weekend due to expanding into a 2nd field!, as we prepare for this years 75th anniversary fair.

Some site layout changes will mean a bigger and better heavy haulage arena. We are now prepared to welcome even more visitors, into our additional parking areas.

A big thank you to Brian Kell for the use of his equipment to do the job. And thanks Glen Wardle senior for giving up his Saturday to drive the JCB and help us out. It is much appreciated!

This weekend we had a quick site visit and what better excuse do you need for a play with Fowler R3 14888 Kingfisher and try out our new bigger play pen.

Unfortunately the grass was a bit damp so traction was an issue, not surprisingly as she was pulling about 35 tonnes on her own on.

Watch this space for this year.

Funfair open all day and night, numerous stalls and food vendors with local produce Strong men competition military, reenactment and much much more!

Its £90 for 2 adults and 2 kids from Friday lunchtime till Sunday 6pm.
That includes access to the show all weekend.

Pre paid tickets can also be purchased on our website.
