📣 A Heartfelt Update from The Original Chelford Car Boot
After 10 long years of civil litigation, years filled with stress, uncertainty and an emotional weight that touched every part of our lives, we are relieved and grateful to share that we have finally won the case. It has been an incredibly tough journey, and now that this chapter has closed, we need time to breathe, reflect and rebuild some peace.
Throughout this decade, we fought hard not just for ourselves, but for all 24 beneficiaries, so that Richard’s wishes could finally be honoured in full. Knowing that his intentions can now be carried out brings us a deep sense of comfort and closure.
Because of everything this journey has taken, The Original Chelford Car Boot will be taking a 12 month break.
To everyone who has stood by us through the hardest years of our lives, thank you. Your kindness, patience and loyalty have carried us more than you know. We also hold close the belief that our founder, my late husband Richard Norman Scott, would be incredibly proud, proud of the resilience shown, proud of the community that never gave up, and proud that his wishes will now be fulfilled exactly as he intended.
This message comes with love and gratitude from Jennifer and all the team.
We will take this time to heal, reflect and gather strength, and we look forward to returning when the moment is right, with renewed energy and the same heart that has always guided us.
