Ceres Highland Games

Ceres Highland Games Founded in 1314 by Robert the Bruce to celebrate the safe return of the men who fought at Bannockburn

As we have now passed the 700th anniversary of Bannockburn, it is perhaps especially appropriate that we should take up the Bruce's offer to enjoy our midsummer Games. As usual, the games will be a cheerful mix of pipe music, dancing, wrestling, heavy events, cycling and running. Around the Bow Butts, there will be shows, trade stalls, refreshment tents and food venues.

We are sorry to hear of the passing of Sir Menzies Campbell. A great athlete in his youth and a great supporter and friend of Ceres Games. Ming was our Chieftain for many years throughout the 1990s. A true gentleman and friend who will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family at this sad time.
