🎪 THAT’S A WRAP ON ANOTHER YEAR! 🎪

And just like that, another Stewartry Show is over! What a fantastic day it was. 🙌

A huge thank you to absolutely everyone who came along, supported us and helped make the show such a success.

🏆 Congratulations to the Ross Family on taking home this year’s Champion of Champions, and to Douganhill Farms on winning Reserve Champion of Champions with their Texel. A fantastic achievement for both! 👏

A massive well done to ALL our exhibitors — without you bringing your animals, horses, produce, flowers, crafts and entries, there simply wouldn’t be a show. 👏

🌟 DOG SHOW WINNERS 🌟

Our annual dog show was held once again this year! Always a great fun part of the day, big well done to who all that took part & of course the winners! 🐶

We had a a great year for sponsors which without, it just couldn’t be done! So great thanks to them! M McCowan and Son, Dixie dogs grooming Dalbeattie, Tesco & co-op Castle Douglas!

Twas the day before Show Day… 🌾

‘Twas the day before Show Day, and all through the grounds,
The buzz of excitement was all around.
The rings have been marked, the rosettes laid out,
Tomorrow they’ll be won with cheers and a shout.

The cattle are clipped, the sheep looking smart,
The horses are polished, all ready to start.
The baking is cooling, the floral art blooms,
With creativity waiting to brighten the rooms.

The judges are travelling from near and afar,
Preparing to choose tomorrow’s shining stars.
From livestock to horses, produce and craft,
Every exhibit reflects months of hard graft.

The secretary’s office is stacked to the roof,
With trophies, results and plenty of proof
That behind every show is a wonderful team,
Working together to bring it all to life.

The trade stands are ready, the food is prepared,
The entertainment is set, with something for everyone there.
Whether you’re here to compete, catch up with friends,
Or simply enjoy the day from beginning to end.

So pack your wellies (and sunglasses too!),
Charge your camera, bring the whole crew.
Most of all, bring your smiles and your community spirit.

🚌 Hop on the FREE shuttle bus (kindly sponsored by JSF Ltd.) from King Street (Market Hill). Buses start from 9:00am, with departures every 30 minutes. Check the timetable below so you don’t miss your ride! 👇

🚗 Driving? No problem! Parking is available and managed by the fantastic Stewartry Sea Cadets.

🏆 Don’t miss the Grand Parade at 2:00pm, where the 2026 Champion of Champions will be crowned!

🍻 And when the day’s events wind down, the public beer tent will be open until late (best behaviour, of course!).

Congratulations to Flint, age 10, from Twynholm Primary School, who has been selected as the winner of our Stewartry Show Children’s Front Cover Competition! 🌟

A huge well done to Flint on this wonderful achievement! 👏🎨🐄🚜

We’d also like to say a massive thank you to every child who entered the competition. The standard was incredibly high, and we were blown away by the creativity, imagination and effort shown in every single entry. Choosing a winner was no easy task!
