A huge thank you to England cricketer Jos Buttler for taking the time to support Carlisle Golf Club’s Big Golf Race for Prostate Cancer UK.

We’re proud to have now raised over £30,000, but we’re not finished yet.

TODAY, ALL DONATIONS will be DOUBLED thanks to the generous support of Charles Tyrwhitt.

Our Big Golf Race takes place on Sunday 14th June, and there’s still time to get involved.

A brilliant Bank Holiday weekend at Carlisle Golf Club with some fantastic golf and excellent support for the club throughout the weekend.

Saturday saw our Junior Patrons Day take place, a fun team event aimed at raising money for the Junior Section, with on course challenges, halfway house, raffles and great support from members throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone who played, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets and supported the event, we’re delighted to say we raised an incredible £1,569.57 for the Junior Section. Thank you to everyone involved for helping make it such a success.

We also held the presentation for the Crossling Cup, won by Bruno Renucci with a superb nett 64. Congratulations Bruno on a fantastic score.

On Sunday, we hosted the Watson Cups, our mixed foursomes medal competition, played in great spirit and blessed with some excellent weather. Congratulations to Lady Captain and Geoff Fell who won on countback with a nett 70. The Best Gross prize was won by the Cotters, very well played.

Great to see the club so busy with members enjoying competitive golf and supporting the club across the whole weekend.

A great day of golf, fundraising and fun around the course, with plenty happening throughout the day including:

Every penny raised goes directly towards supporting and developing junior golf at the club.

We’re running our Ladies Get Into Golf 6-week course at Carlisle Golf Club, and it’s the perfect way to start.

Led by PGA Professional Nicky Tibbetts, these sessions run every Tuesday from 26th May to 30th June and are designed for complete beginners — no experience needed at all.

Whether you’ve never picked up a club before or just fancy trying something new, this is a relaxed, friendly way to learn, meet new people, and build confidence.
