I was delighted to meet Monica at Carlisle Youth Zone this morning with Lauren from Kingmoor Park.

The X Border 10k donated £200 to this amazing charity this year.

This donation was arranged as a thank you to Kingmoor Park for supporting our event over the years as our start venue. It is nice that the event has grown so much that we are now able to give something back to the community.

Carlisle Youth Zone is Kimgmoor Parks (Charity of the Year) so it seamed like the perfect fit for me.

I received a lovely message from Neil McIntyre (Kingmoor Park, MD) this morning, and he said the following:

‘Thank you again for doing this, it’s great when things start to have a knock on affect and you’ve definitely got this to a level where it’s delivering huge enjoyment, pride and wider benefits. Well done’.

These words were lovely to hear and Kingmoor have been there right throughout the 15 years so far and I can’t thank them enough for all they have done for the event.

This 2000 plus runner event incorporates a Half Marathon, 10k & Fun Run.

Full road closures, stadium start and finish at Brunton Park, medal, t shirt & chip timing are all included within the entry price.
