It’s almost here…the SECRET GARDEN PRIDE PARTY! THIS SATURDAY 29 JUNE, 2-7pm! 🌻 TELL YER MATES!! Come and celebrate PRIDE MONTH in a chilled environment with all the loveliest people.

A Tullie + ***rcumbria collab. full of lovely things just for YOU LOT 💞 It’s for our young, q***r community but everyone is welcome!

What’s happening though? …

There will be live music all afternoon, organised by the one and only from QC

Creative activities by (abstract art)

(tote-bags, peace placs and origami)

will be helping you make some bloody tie-dye because they’re crazy about periods!

PLUS stalls selling cute things/books, ,QC zine launch, an art exhibition + FREE drinks and snacks 🍬🌻💖🏳️‍⚧️🐛🪷🏳️‍🌈

Check in socials on the morning incase we need to roll out our emergency ☔️ plan! But if it’s okay, we’ll see you in the garden.

We’re starting with a private screening of Moxie this Saturday at Tullie. It’s an amazing, powerful film about a girl who starts a feminist zine in her school and we hope it’ll inspire us to think about what we can do to promote change.

YOUNG CREATIVES….
We’re organising a multi-layered event all about creative careers (for young people aged 15-25) 🦄

It’ll include panels, insights into the lives and jobs of some inspirational creatives and a slightly more chilled drop-in event with creative demos + artist showcases!

We’ve already started reaching out to contributors, but we want to know who YOU would like to hear from (or what types of careers)

If you have any ideas / want to be involved yourself - tag the artists in this post so we can 👀 or DM us!

Your suggestions don’t have to be local ~ but of course we want to include locals as well 💓

Come + join us at this week’s Young Woman UP session, 1-3 at Carlisle Key.
This month we’re looking at some of the Tullie handling Collection to help us think about inequality and how girls are boxed and stereotyped from a young age. We’ll also look at some amazing women’s rights campaigners to be inspired.

If you’re coming, feel free to bring something you own that empowers you + tell us why.

We’d really love to meet any young women or non-binary people interested in joining the group and growing the group with us ✌🏾These meet ups are just the beginning and are a way of finding out what YOU want to fight for/against (and how).
