Well, we promised you bigger and better for our 25th Birthday and That's what you got. On a blistering hot day, with almost no breeze, well over 100 exhibitors were present and we had plenty of Welsh Food and Drink and locally made Crafts on offer for the just under 7,000 visitors to the event, making it the largest event yet and third best attended Festival to date.
Huge thanks to all our many exhibitors, far too numerous to mention here, our demonstrators: Mandy Walters and Teifi / Ffynon and our local suppliers: Richards Bros, Mark Jukes Containers, Lewlec Generators, Kangaloos, Cardibanners, Plan Bee Events, Litterpickers.com, Tivy security Ltd, XL Team Ambulance, Enterprise Van hire, Cariad PA Hire, The Cellar, Newport Town Council, The Cardigan Agricultural Show Committee, Wots Cooking, LAS Recycling Ltd, Mike's Crafts, The amazing crew of the Cardigan Inshore Lifeboat, The Tivyside, Small World Theatre, Fun At The Flair, Country Magazine, West Wales Life & Style, Ceredigion County Council for leasing us the Car Park, Mr and Mrs Evans, Briscwm, for the use of the Park and Ride field and finally our funders, Cardigan Town Council, Ceredigion County Council & The Welsh Government – Food & Drink Wales , for their financial support.
Thank you to our top quality performers: India Arkin, Dreams Dance School, Natasha Watts, Hari Harmonies, Howni Sea Shanty Group and JBL Disco, who entertained the crowds all day.
We are pleased to say that most of the above exhibitors, entertainers and suppliers are Welsh based businesses, keeping the money going around in Wales.
Thank you to the Mayor of Cardigan, Cllr. Olwen Davies for opening the Festival and judging the awards; and congratulations to Cwtch and Crumb Bakery, The Tipsy Mule, Bee Welsh Honey, and Mill Rundle Pottery, who were our winners.
A huge thank you must go out to all our staff and volunteers who worked tirelessly, for very long hours to make the day a success, particularly Lisa, Dee, Olwen, Phillipa, Eleri, Sally, Richard, James, Paris, Brian, Sean, Scott, Jay, Andrew, & Tom and anyone else who helped before or on the day. We couldn’t have done it without you ! and special mention must go to Mark Jukes and Richard Davies who helped us out of a tricky situation and saved the day. We will be making a donation to the Cardigan Rugby Club Juniors in their name.
We'll hopefully be back with this amazing community event in 2026, attracting more visitors and contributing to the local economy in these difficult times.
