Students - free entry Beulah URC in Rhiwbina, is a small Victorian chapel with a near perfect accoustic for classical music. Monthly lunchtime recitals run throughout the year from September to June on the last Wednesday of the month. There is an annual major evening concert. We mostly give performing opportunities to young professionals at the beginning of their careers or alternately more mature musicians wishing to “try out” something new. Over the last eight years since this series started running, it has become an important part of Cardiff musical life. Performers to date include, Elizabeth Atherton, Elin Manahan Thomas, Fflur Wyn, Gary Griffiths, Cerys Jones and the Heath Quartet, Rhys Watkins, Steffan Morris, Hannah Stone, Catrin Finch. The list also includes the pianists Michael Pollock, Caradog Williams, Jeffrey Howard and Nicola Rose.
