We were thrilled to be the opening event of Gŵyl Llais at the Wales Millennium Centre last night as part of Cardiff Music City Festival. ✷

Llais celebrates the voice in all its forms - from global icons to jaw-dropping new talent. The festival runs until Sunday - check out the full line-up and find out more on the WMC website.

The wait is over… 🖤

After reviewing over 200 albums, more than 150 jurors have chosen 15 incredible finalists for this year’s Welsh Music Prize. The judging panel have selected one winner, who’ll receive £10,000. ✷

This year’s Welsh Music Prize awards have been created by award-winning Welsh artist Angharad Pearce Jones. ✷

Originally from Bala and now based in Carmarthenshire, Angharad is an acclaimed sculptor and member of the Royal Society of Sculptors. Her work spans over 30 years, featuring major exhibitions across the UK and beyond - including her 2023/24 solo show IMPACTArdrawiad and her Gold Medal in Fine Art at the 2024 National Eisteddfod.

☆ Recent works include public sculptures in Penygroes and Ruthin, and major pieces now part of Amgueddfa Cymru’s National Collection.

Gig Buddies Cymru is a friendship project that matches adults with a learning disability (and/or autism) with a volunteer buddy who shares the same interests. Buddies enjoy live music, culture and other social activities together. ✷

Gig Buddies Cymru are always looking for new volunteers – to find out more, chat with Gig Buddies Cymru at the Welsh Music Prize ceremony next Monday! ✰
