Come and escape the daily grind and enjoy classical music during your lunch break, with the Cardiff Classical Lunchtime Concert Series.

Our fantastic team at Arts Active are continuing to programme a classical music offer in place of the St David’s Hall Classical Lunchtime Concert Series, during it's closure.

We are very excited to announce the dates for our 2025/2026 season which will be running October 2025 - July 2026 at EGLWYS DEWI SANT, ST ANDREWS CRESCENT, CARDIFF.

These 1-hour concerts, taking place on the first Tuesday of each month, offer a selection of high-quality classical performances with established and well-renowned musicians, as well as continuing to support emerging artists from across Wales.

Last year we were were joined by these fantastic musicians: Jordan Ashman, Gerard Brooks, Adelphi Quartet, Sinfonia Cymru, Ferio quartet, Galliard Ensemble, Flutes and Frets, Heath Quartet, Alis Huws, Samuele Telari & Tabea Debus, Mavron Quartet, and Benjamin Nabarro.

We have already seen 3 fantastic concerts take place this year. Jordan Ashman launched the 2024 programme in May with an exciting and incredibly skilled performance on percussion.
Gerard Brooks joined us for the June recital, performing on the beautiful organ located at Eglwys Dewi Sant.
Then, most recently, we saw the well-travelled Adelphi Quartet who closed the UK part of their European tour with their performance at the July Cardiff Classical concert.

We are delighted to announce the relocation of two stunning performances in our Cardiff Classical Series.

Now you can experience Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra (Friday 16 Feb) and Dresden Philharmonic (Weds 17 April) within the unique setting and wonderful acoustics of Llandaff Cathedral.

There will also be fascinating FREE pre-concert talks in the Lady Chapel at 6.30pm for 30 minutes from Dr Caroline Rae for the Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra and Danijela Spirik Beard for the Dresden Philharmonic.
