Next up in the list of exhibitors at Cardiff International Wine Fair is The Crossings from New Zealand!

The Crossings is a pioneer of Awatere Valley winegrowers, and has been part of the Yealands Wine Group since 2011.

The Crossings’ viticultural focus is on maintaining low yields and achieving good vine balance to produce fruit that ripens uniformly and with maximum flavour intensity. Sustainable winegrowing is key, and all three of the vineyards are fully accredited through the Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand programme, the goal of which is to ensure no action will detract from the land or the wine in the future.

Next up in the list of exhibitors at Cardiff International Wine Fair is a biggie.....Champagne Louis Roederer!

As the largest independent family-managed Champagne producer, Louis Roederer rank amongst the region's absolute finest. Established in 1776, the House today is managed by seventh generation family member Frédéric Rouzaud alongside long-time Chef de Cave and Champagne legend Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon.

In 2020 Roederer replaced Brut Premier with “Collection” allowing each years non-vintage blend to be identified and “re-engineering” the non-vintage cuvee to maintain freshness in the light of global warming on the Champagne region.

Collection 243 represents the Champagne House's 243rd blend since its inception. Blending the finest wines from the 2018 harvest, the best of the Perpetual Reserve and oak-aged reserve wines sourced from young Cristal vines from 2012 - 2017.

Next up in the list of exhibitors at Cardiff International Wine Fair is world renowned Springfield Estate from Western Cape in South Africa!

Set in the heart of the mountain-ringed Robertson Valley in the Western Cape of South Africa, Springfield Estate is a family-run wine farm owned by ninth-generation descendants of French Huguenots, who came to South Africa from the Loire in 1688 with bundles of vines under their arms.

The farm has been in the family since 1898 and today, using a combination of sometimes risky winemaking techniques, traditional methods and modern technology, along with a sense of practicality and dogged determination borne from living off the land all their lives, the Bruwer family is able to handcraft wine true to its motto: Made on Honour.

Next up in the list of exhibitors at Cardiff International Wine Fair is Craggy Range from New Zealand!

Craggy Range was established in 1998 as the vision of the Peabody Family to create a long-term legacy to hand down to future generations. The winery is focused on an aspiration to become one of the leading producers of the world.

Craggy Range produces a collection of iconic wines from multiple regions in New Zealand. Owner Terry Peabody and his family pursued the single vineyard approach to winemaking, planting on green fields and bare land ensuring a focus on quality from the very beginning.

New Zealand, with its diversity of soils types, offered the perfect location to plant the vines. From the stony, warm soils of the Gimblett Gravels in Hawke’s Bay to the volcanic, clay soils of Te Muna Road in Martinborough these exceptional vineyards produce wines with amazing aromatics, purity and complexity.

The wines, produced for the Prestige and Family Collections are pure expressions of the unique terroir in which they were grown.

Next up in the list of exhibitors at Cardiff International Wine Fair is Boutinot Rhone!

The wines are huge favourites of ours and have been for many years. But this is the first time we have been lucky enough to show off the range at a wine fair!

There’s something very special about the southern Rhône: beautiful but tough, craggy yet easy on the eye, it has a “texture” you can practically inhale. This place just oozes history and colour, with traditions carved over centuries.

Their love affair with this region began in the early 1980s, when they first began making wine there. From the climate, the grapes, and the terroir, to the people and the cuisine – there’s no doubt that, for people like them, with an ambition to make great wines, the southern Rhône has it all.

Champagne Irroy was founded in 1820 and was at one time a member of the old Syndicat des Grandes Marques.

After falling under the radar, it was purchased by Taittinger in 1955 who have always let it run as a separate house but taken great pride in letting it flourish and produce wines of great character and quality.

It is a light aperitif style but has complexity, balance and great elegance.

Just over 5 weeks to go.... So time to start announcing wineries that will be there to taste!

First up, it's De Bortoli from Australia.

De Bortoli Wines is a third-generation family wine company established in 1938 by Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli when they emigrated from Italy to Australia. It was their son Deen, who along with his own children expanded the family business and created the company`s reputation. The Italian family values passed down from Vittorio remain core values at De Bortoli. There is a culture of hard work, generosity of spirit and of sharing good food, good wine and good times with family and friends. They believe that sustainable vineyard practices will deliver outstanding fruit quality to the winery to produce flawless wines as well as being a great benefit to the environment.
