The Ahbab Festival is a MENA - Middle East North Africa - Music Festival celebrating creativity of the region. It was established in 2016 for Valentines weekend and since then has sought to celebrate and explore themes of love in music and film from the MENA region during the core festival and also providing a platform for engagement and audience development for both audiences and practitioners al

ike. Most of the performances take place at Cambridge Junction but in the last couple of years the festival has established itself as a city wide fixture with multiple locations across the 12 days of the festival with single events throughout the year with other partners as well. All of which is possible thanks to our partners and programming team, generously supported by Cambridge Junction and Arts Council England.

Ahbab Festival

The Ahbab Festival is an Arts Council England funded platform for engaging with music, arts and creativity from the MENA region. The festival started in 2016 as a weekend celebrating and exploring themes of love in music and film for Valentines weekend at Cambridge Junction. Since its inception it has blossomed into a perennial fixture in the cultural calendar of the city with other events and education programmes happening around it. This year 2020 it builds on the successes and development of previous editions to bring you a broad and varied offer from some of the most celebrated and innovative musicians from the MENA region. 7-16 February 2020 https://www.junction.co.uk/events/the-ahbab-festival
