📢📢📢 ANNOUNCEMENT 📢📢📢

We are so happy and excited to share this news with you! Balık Arts is a charity that has always been active in fostering the advancement of youth. With this aim, we selected diligent, principled, talented and aspiring young individuals who have been actively involved in various projects and have supported the charity’s daily activities, especially in the fields of acting, filmmaking and events management. We will strive to support them as much as possible on their acting journey. Additionally, we would greatly appreciate feedback from production companies, producers, directors, talent agencies, and casting directors. Our project is currently closed to external actor applications. There may be a new round of recruitment in the future.

YOUNG BLOOD

Balık Arts was set up in 1999 to work primarily with young people through the arts and film, using the slogan 'Social Change via Film'. Balık organises transnational youth exchanges, training programmes and festivals with thought-provoking films. In 2018, sixty participants came together through a series of filmmaking and organising film events in Muğla and Cambridge during the Erasmus+ funded Reel Skills project. The result of this was Taste of Anatolia, a festival which prioritised films made by younger generations - or where the main cast is young - in a section called 'Young Blood'. The festival continues to focus on providing emerging filmmakers with screening opportunities and highlighting issues faced by young people, in addition to curating an event that reflects Anatolia's many colours.
