Cambridge Open Studios Visit artists in their home and studios across four July weekends: 4–5 | 11–12 | 18–19 | 25–26 July 2026.

Cambridge Open Studios is a community of nearly 500 artists across Cambridgeshire. Cambridge Open Studios exists to promote the making of original works of art and craft and to provide an opportunity for the public to become involved in the arts by meeting artists in their studios, seeing their work and how it is produced.

From expressive acrylics and collage to intricate mixed-media constructions, Cambridge Open Studios brings together artists working across a remarkable range of materials, techniques and styles.

This year's event offers the chance to step inside working studios, discover new creative processes and meet the artists behind the work.

Explore the creativity of Midsummer this July with four talented and wonderfully varied artists.

Step into the atmosphere of Venice through Mark Alvarez’s evocative new photographic work.

For Cambridge Open Studios 2026, Mark will be exhibiting a new collection of images capturing the mood, stillness and beauty of Venice. Visitors will also be able to browse many other photographs from his extensive portfolio.

Mark is exhibiting as part of a group of artists at Artspace, 5–7 Portugal Place, Cambridge.
