Ahh, humpday... let's get over it and then we're on the home straight to Salty Dog!

Today's artist is the man kicking off our Troubadour Stage, the gravel-voiced, blues-soaked, Ian Jeffs!

Ian's been a player on the Cambridge scene for years, and as the current frontman of The Dead Geoffreys, we're pleased to prize him away for a rare solo performance.

Tickets? Thought you'd never ask 👇👇👇👇

As time ticks away, growing ever closer to a long weekend, your mind may start to drift away with all the wonderful things you may do with a potential 3 days away from work...
...wait, what's that sound?

That's just Luke Tuchscherer & The Penny Dreadfuls proclaiming how much they would like to spend some of your weekend with you at this Sunday's Salty Dog!

That's nice, isn't it?

We've already spoken about his former The Whybirds bandmate, David.Banks.Music (who's hitting up our Troubadour stage) and Dave will indeed be joining Luke on stage for a live electrifying set which Americana UK once proclaimed as “A gloriously unholy racket with hugely enjoyable punch-the-air songs"

We'll see you down the front.

Soooo, how was the weekend? Good? A bit meh? suddenly panicking that you haven't made plans for the Bank Holiday?

Well, we have a cure for that...

Our next highlighted act will be the headliners on our Troubadour stage, Forty Elephant Gang, a rousing, engaging, and intensely innovative three-piece from East London blending Folk, Americana and American Blues, with genuinely classic songwriting.

having seen them at various festivals, we knew we had to have them for Salty Dog, we love them and know you will too!

Don't miss out!! 👇👇👇

Have we spoken about Country? Going through our fantastic artists, we've covered most bases but let's not forget our roots!

With that in mind, we highlight our next artist, Norwich-based singer/songwriter, Lucy Grubb, an artist who is doing it her way

Having recently played festivals such as Glastonbury, Black Deer, and Red Rooster, and inspired by the likes of Johnny Cash, Lucy brings a touch of folk to country, without ever feeling the need to conform 100% to either.

We feel she is certainly one to watch as she ascends on the British Americana scene, and we're grateful she's agreed to play for us at Salty Dog

Don't miss out!

We don't do Fri-yay at Salty Dog, more of a Fri-Yeehaw, but enough of this tomfoolery, let's talk about our opening act for next week's festivities!

Banjo-wielding Old Man Boom, is relatively new to the scene with his Alt-Country/ Murder Folk songs about the darker side of life.

He's just unleashed a corker of a debut album with Devil & Saviour which features a sea-shanty that's such an earworm, you'll be singing as you cross the River Styx!

This will be a rare appearance with a full band at Salty Dog, so make sure you arrive early to catch his set!

This post is sponsored by the 1950's and a whole lot of pomade!

But let's forget about stereotypes and talk about the music. We're delighted to welcome Lady Luck Lexy & the Riverside Boys bringing their combination of 50s rock & roll with bop and blues to the Salty Dog lineup!

Once they hit the stage with their impressive rockabilly sounds they will be sure to get your feet tapping, your fingers snapping and have your arms wrapping around your partner for a jive across the dance floor!

'Hey Salty Dog, Who are you previewing today?' We hear you scream!

Well, sit down, grab yourself a beverage, and let us tell you!

Back in the mid-2000's one of the finest act's making a 'ruckus with acoustics' were Cambridge's very own The Shivers but like all good things, they came to an end.

Now, former Shiveroos (I'm sure that's a word) Ben and Rich are back with R.J. Archer & the Painful Memories!

Think kick-ass rhythm and blues with a healthy dose of Creedence Clearwater Revival and you're on the right dirt track!

Loud and proud of it, they're going to be a blast!

As the planets travel around the sun again and another day dawns, it's that time where we talk about yet another Salty Dog artist and one that's no stranger to Cambridge.

Steven Adams Sings imprint is in the Cambridge music scene. From the 90's indie of Hofman to the acerbic country of The Broken Family Band, his songwriting and lyrical style have dropped the jaws of many a gig goer.

More recently his work with Singing Adams, and The French Drops has continued his musical legacy but for Salty Dog, we get to witness him on his own, guitar in hand, rocking our little planet as it hurtles through the solar system at 67,000M mph.

Hold on, he's taking us for a ride!
