A fabulous night last night with Robin Nolan playing the music of George Harrison. He also treated us to a new song based on chords from George given to Robin by Olivia, George’s wife.

And this brilliant encore!

On Saturday (30th May) we've got something a little special coming to The Old Chapel.

is one of the most celebrated guitarists in the world of Gypsy Jazz, and his new show brings his critically acclaimed album "For the Love of George" to life. If you love The Beatles, George Harrison, or just want to hear seriously good live music in a room that feels like it was made for nights like this, join us!

Recorded at George Harrison's own studio in Friar Park, using some of George's most iconic guitars, it's a collection of Harrison and Beatles songs reinterpreted in Robin's own unmistakable style.

Nolan’s relationship with Harrison dates back to the 1990s, when the former Beatle personally recognised and encouraged his playing. Since then, Nolan has remained a valued presence within the Harrison musical circle, making this tribute especially meaningful.

Doors 7pm, performance 8pm.

Tickets £18 in advance, £21 on the door. Friends of Calstock Arts get £2 off.

🌍 Our musical odyssey around the world comes to a close this June, and what a finale it's going to be!

On Saturday 13th June, we welcome Eastern Strings to the Old Chapel for an immersive evening of Turkish and Middle Eastern soundscapes.

Daphna Sadeh-Neu (double bass) and Knud Stüwe (oud) bring together threads of musical culture from across the Middle East, combining world music energy with classical precision and moments of pure, spontaneous beauty.

Joining them is special guest Özcan Ateş, Istanbul-born vocalist and master of the bağlama, a long-necked lute at the heart of Turkish and Kurdish folk traditions. Together they weave Kurdish, Turkish, Ladino and Middle Eastern traditional songs into something visceral, evocative and full of surprise.

This is the fourth and final concert in our Festival of World Music, 'Our Music Planet', and it's not one to miss.

🎟 Tickets: £17 in advance / £20 on the door
🚪 Doors & bar from 7pm | Performance at 8pm

Half term is looming, have you got the kids sorted?!

On Friday 29 May, we've got the perfect afternoon out for little ones - FailFailFailFailWin! with Carn to Cove

Mark and Loz are circus performers. And circus is REALLY hard. This brilliant show is all about the tries that didn't quite work out - the wobbles, the drops, the spectacular disasters - and why that's actually a wonderful thing.

Juggling. Diabolo. Hula hoop. An ambitious attempt to spin 8 IKEA plates (retail value £2 each). Plus a cast of characters including the unkillable Rasputin and Sweden's greatest astronaut, Sven Svenstoferson.

Uplifting, silly, and genuinely brilliant for ages 3 to 10. Strictly unsuitable for 15 year olds who don't want to come. (They're serious about that.)

🕑 Doors open 2pm / Show at 2:30 for about an hour
🎟️ £6 per child / £8 per adult / £25 family of 4

Book your tickets via the link below and give the kids a half term afternoon they'll all be talking about.
