๐๐ฐ Still deciding what to do this weekend? Thinking about popping along to Fords at the Castle?
Wondering if it'll be busy, what the weather's looking like, whether the venue is worth the trip, or if it's all just social media hype? ๐ค
In the interest of transparency, here's your event update! ๐
๐ฅ Will it be busy?
Absolutely! We currently have 343 display vehicles booked, plus trader vehicles, meaning we're rapidly approaching our maximum display capacity of 400 vehicles.
With less than 48 hours to go, we expect to hit our 350 ticket limit very soon.
โ
Pre-booked vehicles will be prioritised for entry
โ ๏ธ On-the-day entries will be subject to available space, and some vehicles may be directed to the public car park if display areas are full.
If you're planning to display your vehicle, book now while you still can!

๐ฐ Location
This year's event takes place at the stunning Caldicot Castle, a medieval fortress originally built by the Normans around 1100 on the site of an earlier Saxon stronghold. Restored during the Victorian era, the castle is now a popular historic attraction set within beautiful parkland, offering visitors a fantastic glimpse into Wales' medieval past. (Yes, that description was AI-generated! ๐)

๐ Arrival Times
Traders: From 8:30am
Display vehicles & clubs: From 10:00am
Please have your tickets ready, either on your phone or printed, to help keep queues moving.
For safety, we ask that there is no vehicle movement within the show area until 4:00pm. If you need to leave early, please notify a marshal. Please drive sensibly whilst on castle grounds, itโs not a race track and families will be nearby.

๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ Spectators & Public Entry
Good news... this year entry is FREE!
โ
Free access to Caldicot Castle, the grounds, and the show fields.
โ
Free on-site parking.
If you'd like to contribute, we'd be grateful for any donations to our chosen charity, Help for Dogs, who will also be trading at the event.
---
โฟ Blue Badge Holders
Please make a marshal aware when entering so we can direct you to appropriate parking.
---
๐ถ Dogs Welcome
Well-behaved dogs are more than welcome, but please keep them on a lead. There are plenty of open fields to explore around the venue, and we kindly ask all owners to clean up after their dogs. There will be children on site, and it's simply good manners. ๐

โ๏ธ The Weather
Current forecasts are looking great for Sunday!
๐ค๏ธ Mid-20ยฐC temperatures
๐ฆ๏ธ Only a small chance of a light shower in the morning
๐ In other words... pretty much perfect car show weather!

๐ Free Children's Inflatables
Confirmed!
We'll have:
Bouncy Castle
Giant Slide
Football Shootout
๐ All completely FREE for children.
Please be respectful of others if there's a queue, and all children must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Our marshals will also be monitoring the inflatables throughout the day.
---
๐ Food & BBQs
Please do not use disposable BBQs on the grass. However, there are designated BBQ areas and picnic benches throughout the park. Camping stoves are permitted, provided they don't damage the ground.
We will have more food options this year with burgers, noodles, jacket potatoโs, pizza, donuts and ice cream available! The castle coffee shop will also be available including their bar.
---
๐ On-the-Day Support
St John Ambulance will be on site throughout the event for medical support.
Need help or have a question? Look out for our marshals in high-vis jackets.
The Welsh Ford Merchandise Tent will also act as the main marshal and information point during the day.

With hundreds of display vehicles already confirmed, free entry for spectators, great weather forecast and an incredible castle backdrop, this is shaping up to be our biggest Fords at the Castle yet.
See you on Sunday! ๐๐จ๐ฐ
