Yesterday, we were delighted to host the CIO & CISO UK Summit at The Clermont Charing Cross, bringing together an incredible group of technology and security leaders for a day of insight, honesty, and collaboration.
A huge thank you to all of our attendees, speakers, and our fantastic moderator Steve Benton for driving such engaging and thought-provoking discussions throughout the day.
Some of the key themes that emerged…
We’re seeing a clear shift in how organisations view the CIO and CISO roles. The strongest message? These leaders must be true peers at the executive table, helping shape business strategy from the outset, not being brought in after the fact. When security is embedded by design, organisations benefit from greater resilience, faster delivery, and clearer cost outcomes.
The pace of change in the threat landscape, particularly driven by AI, was a major focus. From increasingly sophisticated fraud and impersonation to the rise of AI agents, it’s clear that identity is becoming the new perimeter, requiring a Zero Trust approach across both human and machine identities.
There was also a powerful and much-needed spotlight on cyber wellbeing. As demands on security teams continue to grow, the importance of supporting people, not just investing in technology, has never been greater. Leadership has a critical role to play in driving positive, immediate change here.
Discussions also highlighted the growing exposure of executives through their digital footprints, the often-overlooked risks within WiFi environments, and the expanding challenge of third-party ecosystems, where continuous visibility, collaboration, and shared responsibility are key.
And finally, a theme that truly resonated across the day: recovery is king.
In an increasingly uncertain world, resilience is no longer just about prevention, it’s about understanding whether you can respond and recover when it matters most.
Thank you again to everyone who joined us and contributed to such a valuable day, we’re already looking forward to the next one.
