Buxton Wool Gathering returns to the beautiful Pavilion Gardens this weekend - 16th and 17th May. Come join us for two days packed with fluff, fibre, inspiration, and the craftiest community. 🧶💙

Coming to join us this weekend? If you've not been before, here's how to get here:

🚗 By road: Buxton's on the A6, southeast of Manchester. Use postcode SK17 6BE to reach us. The closest car park is Pavilion Gardens, which is about a minute's walk from the Octagon Room. It has 15 accessible spaces.

All car parks in Buxton are run by High Peak Borough Council and you can use the PayByPhoneUK app if you have a smartphone. The Pay and Display machines take cash or card, and cost up to £6.10 for 10 hours - the max stay.

🚈 By rail: The town has frequent train services to Manchester. Times and tickets can be found on the National Rail website. The railway station is a five to ten minute walk to Pavilion Gardens, which is clearly signposted. Buxton train station is step-free.

🚌 By bus or coach: For information on bus services, please see High Peak Buses, Traveline, and Derbyshire Buses. If you're arriving by coach, you can be dropped off on St John's Road. Coach spaces are at the Sylvan Road car park.

❗We’ve got an important accessibility update ahead of the weekend.

The Pavilion Gardens have let us know that the lifts in the building are out of order. This means the workshop rooms can only be reached by stairs, and if you usually enter using the St John’s Road entrance, access to the Octagon Room from that side also involves stairs.

We’ve already emailed everyone with a workshop booking to make sure they’re aware of the change.

Toilets are available on the ground floor, and step-free access remains in place from the car park into the hall.

If you have any other accessibility concerns, here’s some information about our venue to help put your mind at ease.

🅿️ Parking & facilities
Pavilion Gardens has accessible parking bays and accessible toilets. You'll need a radar key for the toilet.

🚽 Toilets
There are three accessible toilets on the ground floor.

🍦🪑 Food, drink & seating
All cafés and food outlets in Pavilion Gardens are step-free. There’s plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors.

🐕‍🦺 Support dogs
Disability support dogs are welcome throughout Pavilion Gardens and inside Buxton Wool Gathering.

🤫 Quiet Hour
We offer a Quiet Hour at 10am on Sunday with limited tickets, designed for anyone who finds crowds challenging.

🎟️ Carers
Carers accompanying a ticket holder can enter free of charge.
