The Buxton Flowerpot Trail returns for summer 2026 🥳

And all in Buxton are invited to get involved.

Inspired by the 100th anniversary of Winnie-the-Pooh🧸, the theme is ‘children’s stories’ – so get thinking nursery rhymes, fairy tales, cartoons, comic strips, and illustrated books.

The AGM for the Buxton Wells Dressing organisers group is on Wednesday 26th November at 7.30PM in the Conservative Club on the market place. We need all the help we can get. Come along if you can and find out more about it.

Well done to all 🐕 winners 🏆 😍

Thank You for coming to our Buxton Well Dressing and Carnival Fun Pet Dog Show early this morning. We had fun in the shade and before it got too hot.

We’ll share photos of our winners over the next few days. Well done to all our competitors who were so well behaved throughout.
Our photo shows our competitors with their dogs stood with Guide Dogs UK volunteers and Steph, Puppy Development Adviser and Show Judge. They are on the grass in front of a blue gazebo, all in the shade. Some dogs are lying down, some sat or stood and most are facing the camera. Our Judges Favourite, little Toby is being held by his owner. Everyone looks happy.

It's Buxton and there's a Carnival, don't forget the factor 50 (we've waited years to able to say that!) ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

On your marks, get set.... GO! it's Carnival day in Buxton and Hargreaves & Son wish everyone a fantastic day. Please give generously if a bucket it waved towards you, and cheer the Billerettes heartily as they make their historic 50th anniversary appearance in today's procession. We'll be closing the doors so our staff can enjoy the parade and opening thereafter. If you're sitting in the sun, keep hydrated, and remember the SPF, it's a scorcher! Stay safe and enjoy Buxton at its best!

4.15pm(ish) – Parade of the Queens
4.30pm(ish) – Duck Race

Come along and enjoy this fabulous FREE concert on Buxton Carnival day Saturday 12th July at Turners Memorial in the Crescent, there will be music and live bands on stage from 3pm until 7pm!
Loads of tasty Hot food vendors, Lubens Bar, Ice Cream, Posh Coffee, Cakes and entertainment throughout the day👌

*Dog Show moves to earlier time*

PLEASE SHARE … EARLIER TIME DUE TO HEAT. We’re 9am to 10am and our area is in the shade the whole time (we’ve been there this morning checking!)

Your Carnival Day FUN PET DOG SHOW starts 9am and takes place in Buxton’s Pavilion Gardens on the grassy area near the swimming pool. It’s a shaded area for the whole time.

Free To Watch. £5 cash to take part. Just Turn Up.

We have prizes for fun and formal judging categories. Who is the poshest pooch in town and who is the scruffiest? Who looks most like their owner? Who is the most obedient? Who loves doing the agility course?

Please only bring your dogs if they are comfortable to come. We’ll have drinking bowls around. Pavements will get too warm for paws later on which is why we’re finishing at 10am and we are not able to have the Guide Dog UK Dog Demonstration.
