Thank you to all who came to share our last event with Glen as RD. We were touched by the gifts, words and hugs. We have met so many inspirational runners, kind hearts and new friends over the years and we look forward to being able to continue to cheer you on and have a tea & cake or a beer with you once Zig Zag begin their events at Barrow in 2023. And of course we’ll be working with new RD Adam Holland on the 10 in 10.

Join us on Saturday 1st October for Glen's last event as RD
And the last monthly event here by SRC

The route will be The Gallops or Denham Flats both out and back routes and both very popular for different reasons.

Gallop down to Newmarket through the lovely studs and country lanes with some trail too
or go for a PB on the flat road 6.55m down through Denham

You will be able to choose your medal from our existing stock. So you could go retro with the spinning 10 year medal or look for one of the others you may have missed along the way.

This will prove to be a day of celebration and reminiscence before we take a break and hand over the centre to the Zig Zag crew for a while.

Having made the decision to revert to our original calendar of our one major event in the year - the summer 10 in 10, and for Glen to retire as RD we now have some exciting news for you.

We are delighted to announce that Zig Zag Running will soon be holding events from our venue and that Stephen & Zoe (Zig & Zag) will be working alongside us here at the Suffolk Running Centre,

Starting in January, they will be hosting regular running events from the SRC.

They will be able to utilise our facilities including, showers, parking, overnight camping options. And use some of our favourite routes too, throughout the Suffolk countryside.

The SRC team will still be around, we look forward to being able to cheer you on and helping you to continue to enjoy the events.

ZigZag will bring chip timing, lots of coffee and cake and are really excited to launch some new and exciting ideas moving forward. Over the last few years they have firmly established themselves with some wonderful events and we very much look forward to seeing what they can do at Barrow and hope you will support them.

They will be joining us for the last SRC hosted event with Glen as RD on the 1st October. Come along to say hello and meet their team,
