MEET THE TEAM

Today we'd like to introduce you to our founder Tilley Bancroft!

Tilley founded Making Trails in 2021, but the idea began back in 2018 when preparations for the first trail, Burton Swans, began.
Tilley can mostly be found with a cup of coffee in one hand, and a pencil in the other.

Did you know you can book our founder Tilley Bancroft as a speaker for your event?

This is some recent feedback about her:

"Over the past 10 years I have heard Tilley Bancroft speak on subjects including place-making, arts-led regeneration and building unified communities to a variety of audiences in-person, online and on podcasts.

Her wide experience in various arts disciplines, and her own successful, award-winning sculpture trails, means that her talks are anchored on real-life examples of what has worked and why.

She is an accomplished and likeable public speaker and audiences of all ages and interests relate to her. She is adept at tailoring her presentations to suit the needs of each occasion. Her style is compelling, inspiring, heart-warming and engaging. I would recommend her without reservation."

Queenie has officially landed at The Brewhouse Community Garden

What started as an unloved patch of land is now bursting with colour, wildlife, creativity and community spirit, and we’re so proud to have donated Queenie, our giant bee sculpture and bug hotel, to her new home.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.

To Mayor Monica Holton, thank you for your continued support over the years, and for joining us at the unveiling.

To Jason, for the hours of fibreglassing, sanding and bringing Queenie to life.

To Grace, for kindly donating plants to help the garden bloom.

To Tracey, our partner in crime, community garden co creator, and general force of nature.

To the Brewhouse Arts Centrefor trusting us with the space and supporting the project.

And most importantly, to the incredible volunteers who have rolled up their sleeves, planted, painted, weeded, watered and transformed this space into something truly special for Burton.

We hope Queenie brings a few smiles, sparks conversations, supports local wildlife, and reminds people just how powerful community creativity can be.

Go and say hello to her soon!
